A Walkthrough for the murder quest?

I tried, seriously.. to enjoy this. But the very first step was criers sending us to Jasper, and discovering Jasper doesn't even speak.

Strike 2, that someone had to randomly try forensics..

Strike 3, there IS no illusionist's guild.

I had some considerable difficulties following the clues. I really wonder how fast people could solve this quest. Not only putting the hints together but to find these mini-pixel books in the wilderness really took some of my time. This Moonglow Cave... Best part is the Etheral Fortress. I mean best for your assurance broker.

Making another walktrough is a good idea, Eslake - if you still want to. Each one is valuable because they contain different details.

Errr.. Wrong on Strike 2....

Actually, if you ask him about "Francesco" (who is the only named corpse) as a keyword, he states that they are waiting for a forensic evaluation of the body. that's the prompt to go do said forensic eval for yourself (which can be done at 0 skill even with an elf).

And Jasper is constantly speaking... he speaks the second walks up to him, and if you say certain words, he'll say more.

You mean like all the people who have screamed for years about escorts to Yew not working, when they try to deliver them to the Empath Abbey?

While it has the Yew Bank and a guard zone, is outside the boundaries of Yew proper - and the escort has to be delivered to the main clusters of buildings in Yew several screens away (the animal trainer, or the buildings around the heartwood gate, for example).

Only in UO, of all the Ultima games, is the Abbey assumed to be IN Yew by people, as opposed to neighboring it. Most people also consider the Lyceaum & the Zoo to be in Moonglow, when they are technically outside the main city as well.

The exaggeration of area vs. borders runs both ways - and in the real world as well. Cincinnati's airport is in Kentucky, not Ohio; the New York football teams play their home games in New Jersey, etc.

Anyone know why, when I get to Aileens house in Trinsic (on pac) there is only the Note there, no journal talking about the upcomming meeting with Anselm, thus, when I go to him, nothing. I am stuck.

You don't have to find that journal - I've never even seen it (gonna go look for it tonight, though), and I've done the quest on 10 characters. Just go to Anselm and start talking to him about the FOA.

Edit: The journal is in the chest of drawers in the room with the bed and book (between the armoire and the bookshelves).
