Dispatch entered to the record:
The gold bell was delivered to the Red & Purple Savings and Loan where it could be further examined by our treasure experts.
The runes spell out “Abbey of Candy” then “Skara Brea” and then “Red & Purple” with areas too worn to accurately translate. It is clear this bell is far older then the history of the Red & Purple Empire.
It's suspected this bell is, in fact, part of a lost treasure that may have contained items from the Abbey of the Candy... that stood North North-East of Skara Brea. Many years ago... the Abbey was destroyed in a hurricane. It was just at the water’s edge and when built, it was discovered that a cavern had been carved under the foundation long before the Abbey was built. One only had to climb the steps to the Abbey’s main building. It was really quite amazing. From the garden to the decorations.
The building itself had a tower loaded with bells. This golden bell found in the swamps near Cove must be one of the bells from one of those towers, however the designer’s building notes can't be located in the Red & Purple archives. So many buildings have been constructed between Tram and Malas... and so many are gone now, for one reason or the other. As for the actual bell? A dispatch was issued to the historical experts of the kingdom and an invitation to come examine it.
A command order has been issued that the bell belongs to the First Church of Candy within the township of the Red & Purple Pixie’s of the Yew Wood. This will be fully restored and hung at the church upon the Spring Festival for all to see.
Please remember... the Spring Festival is on Saturday 11 of April... about 2pm-ish. Time to be finalized.

Re: Mysterious loot found.
Friday 27, March.
Today we found something truly odd and would like to report our findings to command for the record.
We were hunting along the edges of the great swamp west of Cove that consumed the road between Britain and the crossroads by the Desert of Compassion. It was raining rather hard when Copper Salty Dog suddenly found the edge of a wooden crate just barely sticking out of the rotted peat moss. The crate was carefully excavated on site as the pets guarded us from unwanted monster attention. Upon removing the muck, other items started to present themselves to our muddy hands. Such items unknown and will require further investigation after a much-needed cleaning and exam by treasury experts. Some things were easy to identify. Much of this was hardware associated with a horse drawn carriage that must have been lost in the swamps in transport from one end of the kingdom to the next. It's honestly baffling how the so-called king doesn’t do something about this road as it's been in this state as long as anyone can remember.
We held the area as one of the party returned to “central sorting” to gather digging tools and it was quite miserable work. The true point of interest was within the rotten old crate we first discovered. With all the rottenness... with all the corroded ironwork, broken plates, corroded old copper and silver coins... even with a raging storm open above us. The box itself was removed with great care... and it was very heavy... and held together until being placed on solid ground... where it simply melted in to bits and pieces. Sawdust... or pulp. With removing the remains of the box, a gleaming golden bell. Why this crate fell apart as it did is still quite mystifying.
The bell isn’t very large. Perhaps 15 inches all the way around. It is in amazing condition considering the state we found it. We then emptied a backpack and filled it with water to wash the rest of the muck off the bell itself. Once doing that, we could make out an inscription along around the bell’s body in ancient runes. What it says is unclear to any of us... beyond what clearly said “Red & Purple”. We then found the situation was clearly beyond us, thus this dispatch.
Please note, what treasure we found will be sent to “Central Possessing” for direction.
With respect, Mindy the Pirate.

In a side note... as it's very difficult to understand. Once touched, the bell has a... energy about it.
A very slight vibration without making any noise at all.
Once struck, the bell sound is quite sweet and carries quite a ways. Why does it vibrate so?.......
