A trash barrel change

Is it possible to have an option to make the barrel instantly delete what is placed inside? I do alot of mining and I toss all the blackrock I get into the barrel for the 10 points for each piece. The rule that I must be inside the house,or only so many tiles away from the barrel when the items are deleted after three minutes is,I think,a bit much. I would like to drop it in and go. The three minutes I am waiting for the barrel to delete the blackrock is three minutes I could be mining instead.

Moved from 'Ask the Devs'.

First, you don't have to stay in your house waiting for the barrel to empty. You'll get a notice of how much you gained next time you return home, or even next time you log in. There is no reason why you can't dump and go.
Second, if you want an instant figure for how much you gained, simply use the trash cans at the bank.

I tested it and you don't have to return home to get the message that you got reward points for what is dropped into the barrel. You get the message where ever you are in the game
