A Skill Gauge

Maybe place a small blue lifebar on each of the skill icons or have it appear when it's moused over in the skill list. This gauge could show how long until your next gain.

Except... There is no way to determine how long there is until your next gain... Unless you mean on Siege?

Well, maybe they need to implement a system then that can be used to work with the gauge.

Id Like on that shows the variuos skill wait times. For my voker! The board is green sir. Then play the music!

Im just sick of pumping the macro seeing you must wait to use another skill!

The closest thing we have now is the Skill Statuette from the KR newbie quest... though not what you are looking for on timing, it will at least help focus your efforts onto the best gain possibility.

Yeah, the only thing I could see a timer for is how long between items with a timer (heal potions, apples, etc.) and wait time between using a skill (peacing, hiding, etc.)

I just thought that it seems completely aimless to continually try to earn a gain when you have no idea if anything you're doing is working at all. Here is a bad example for you: the other day in Del after getting my gg gain, I decided to try to get a gain just to see.

So, I tamed about 60 bulls then decided this wasn't working and headed to the k-rin, tamed about 30 of those, spawn was alittle slow, so went back to the bulls. I really didn't want to do anymore but I was sure I must be closer so I did maybe about 30 more bulls but I didn't get any gains at all and gave up. What I didn't like about this I really wasn't sure that if I had tamed maybe just one more it might not of been a complete waste of time.

Obviously, part of the problem, is that I wasn't taming things best for my skill level, skill level being 114 taming.

So, what I was thinking was a gauge that shows skills progressing would be the best thing. Not knowing exactly how the current gain system works, I was thinking maybe they could implement a plug in that worked on top of the current system. A kind of artificial intelligence that monitors the gain system.

Again, i'm not positive how the gain system works so this example is really meaningless but is an attempt to give the idea of how it might work.

Let's say the skill works from 1 to 120 and your skill level is 115, the gauge would monitor how many tries have been attempted on that skill, so if you had tried 115 times the gauge would attempt to give you a gg gain based on the difficulty of the skill, so, say the skill was rated at difficulty of 50% then after 115 tries you would have a 50% chance of pulling a gg within the next 115 tries. So, the gauge at 115 would be full and in the next 115 you would have a 50% chance of getting a gain.

So, you would know once the gauge was filled that if you tried it 115 more times you would definately get that gain.

If this system was implemented properly certain aspects would be taken into consideration, for example, how easy it is to gain at first doesn't seem right. You would think it would be harder to gain at first then get easier and then get almost impossible.

So, the gauge would do more than just show amount of time. It would also keep track and help give you a more stable understanding of your character's situation as far as skill is conserned.

If a gain occured normally, then the gauge would automatically be set to 0 so the gauge would not give extra gains, it would just make sure you received a gain.

Thanks for your patience for this post.
