A Sacrificial Alter Ate My Mummy!

Are sacrificial alters supposed to instantly make items disappear?! I was trying to place a mummy I got from the Primeval Lich spawn on top of the alter and it went inside and said "The item will be deleted in 3 minutes." But when I went to open it up the mummy wasn't inside. *sigh*

Anyone know any information about these mummys? Is it a replica? Rare drop? I've only ever done the spawn once (A friend and I 2-manned it). So that was a real trophy for me.

And yes, I checked the Cavern of the Discarded and it wasn't there. Stupid game.

Woah, nevermind! I just axed the sacrificial alter to take out my anger and the mummy was on the floor. THANK GOODNESS!

I know I am! I'm so happy I got it back! It was longer then 3 minutes too. Very strange.

Suggestion - put the mummy down, lock it down, raise it with a deco tool, THEN place the altar underneath it, if you can.

I tried that and it didn't work. It gave the "You cannot build that there." message. I also tried goza mats and that didn't work either. What did work was placing the mummy inside of a bag, locking it down, raising it all the way up, then placing the alter, then axing the bag.
