Ah, my luck. It's as good or as bad as my main character's luck! This is just a quick note to let the shard know that I've not abandoned the reporter gig. I was trying to catch up to Sprago for an interview when my computer (less than 6 months old) decided that Windows "critical" updates would, indeed, be critical! Friday morning after the updates installed, I could not connect to the internet. I spent all day Friday on the phone with Dell. I spent all day Saturday reinstalling Windows 7 on my computer.
And now the computer is back (yeah!), but it is performing a must-do multi-day backup. (Lag City!) As soon as I am up to full speed (literally) I shall be back on the beat! I had intended to cover our Thanksgiving feast, but it was just not to be.
So you've not lost me, I've not abandoned my new post, and I'm lookin' forward to covering news on our great shard as it should be covered!
