Okay, so I've just come back to the game, and while I have played since AoS came out, apparently I'm woefully ignorant as to what items are desirable. For instance, I came across a two handed axe with the following properties:

Hit Mana Leech 50%
Hit Life Leech 62%
Heet Staminal Leech 50%
Mana Regeneration 4
Swing Speed Increase 30%

Now, I look at that as a decent weapon, but I really don't know.

So, my question is simply... what in the heck makes for good weapons/armor/jewelry?

Weapons (clean/prized)
1st make sure its got some good specials (ex. Disarm,poison) mods: 20splintering + hitspell +hld/hla (clean or prized)

Armor (clean/brittle)
eaters+hpr+mr+lmc+lrc+stats

Jewellery (clean/prized/antique)
Mods: fc1 fcr3 dci hci ep sdi skills+

I just named the best mods pvpers look for which sell pretty well, the less the less better they will be, the more the better...

For sampire weapons u better go with normal imbued ones

think about how you would use it. who would use that weapon? it does have good mods, but a warrior / sampire character would almost never want to use the specials. plus anything that isnt as good as what you can imbue is generally not worth much. no one needs regens on weapons (except maybe mage / bard weapons) and you could get another full usefull property if you imbued one.

the one you have is "cool" , i sometimes keep weapons like this just because its loot and not imbued, but in reality a better weapon can imbued easily.

so first you have to think about how the weapon would be used (specials)
then the weapon has to be above what you can imbued (unless selling for extemely cheap for newer players, and unless it has a desireable mod you cant imbue, like say 15mageweapon or splintering)

My recommendation would be to start checking out some of the auctions people run on here. That would give you a good idea of what people consider "good".
