There is so much potential with the new lands to explore.
Lake Austin's community has seemingly died down to a halt - there is little interest in exploration, combined with a low concentration of active people that want to cooperate with each other.
I'd also like to say, although our EM did a fabulous job brainstorming a way to hand out cloaks of silence in Felucca it was ultimately a failure because nobody wanted to participate in the event as it was intended. It became a one-guild vs. all ordeal.
The true focus in community revival on Lake Austin needs to take place in Trammel. Over the next few months my personal emphasis is going to be toward promoting more friendship, unity and community participation on this shard. I will be working diligently toward finding ways to make this happen and I will not give up. Ultimately, I feel we can all do better as a community in promoting and hosting the events than our EM has.
I am going to be pushing this along by hosting regular events down the line - Trammel/Malas/Ilshenar/Stygian Abyss crawls - contests - tournaments and other activities welcoming all to participate. My goal is to have a revolutionary community of "interest" on Lake Austin better than it ever was, with or without the playerbase that we once had.
We are also working on some establishments just outside of the Tel Mur Royal City as we approach the time that they'll open the new moongate. The extent of these establishments I am not quite sure yet. I really want to pass along the encouragement for players to start promoting new establishments and for players to start hosting some public events also.
I would love to hear feedback on the type of things that people would like to see happen. I know with the right strides the LA community can become one which players will want to transfer over to just to play and become involved.
