A new Day

Dramora

Journeyman
Stratics Veteran
Stratics Legend
Dramora closed the journal she was examining. Rubbing her eyes, she realized just how late it was. She’d been in her new office for most of the day, trying to make some sense of the previous Governor’s figures. Although she hated thinking bad about anyone, the previous Governor had certainly not been very present for most of her term, leaving the city in a bit of disarray.

There was certainly a lot of work to be done, which Dramora suspected before she even decided to run for Governor. But Britain was the capital; it should be a strong city. It was where the King lived, it should be prosperous. And yet, as Gillian said, there was far more poor and homeless in the city than there should be.

Thinking of Gillian made her shake her head a bit. Gillian was the one person Dramora had never thought about having any sort of relationship with, and now she and Thom were part of her city’s “team”. How the hell did that happen? The two of them had been at each other’s throats from almost the first minute they met.

Part of her was still skeptical that they would be able to work closely together, but for now, Dramora would give Gillian the benefit of doubt. Certainly Gillian’s first act as Health Administer showed that she cared about Britain. Time would tell.

In the meantime, Gillian had suggested a monthly soup kitchen right outside of the Blue Boar. This seemed like a great spot; the tavern was close by for any supplies they ran out of. Dramora hoped this would be the beginning of putting the city back together and making it whole again. Certainly this along with all of the other events she and Thom had planned would bring people back to the city.

The citizens needed hope again, and although Dramora suspected few would attend her first town meeting, she had hoped word of the planned events would reach the businesses, and cause some excitement.

In the meantime, she needed a bit of sleep before the meeting. Tomorrow was a new day, and a new hope for her city.

Closing and locking the door, she turned her horse towards home.

Dramora,
Governor of Britain
