Governor Arkon,
Something interesting occurred at the Governors meeting last night and as your adviser I must bring it to your attention.
Penrose brought charges before the king against John, Rotep, and a few others, and asked that they be arrested and handed over to trial according to the laws of Moonglow. I am sure you know well that law in Moonglow is little more than a joke, and that no one should be sent to answer before a lawless court. The charges stem from the attack on their Tavern I spoke of and the events which transpired.
Others within the chamber brought up the many attacks carried out by Penrose and his minions against other towns and peoples. After much discussion and knowing that a fair trial in any one city would be hard to come by, Blackthorne decided to hold a tribunal, and has requested that each town put forth a name of someone we believe can be impartial on such a panel.
Although I have always believed that I can be impartial in the face of much wrong, the truth is, I am simply too close to the situation to believe that I should sit in judgement. I was at the Moonglow the night of the attack, and I have suffered many attacks on my person by Penrose and his minions.
It is my belief and recommendation that the one truly impartial resident of Yew is James Bunny-man. And though at times he may seem a bit off kilter and many other things, I am sure he could listen to all the charges and make a fair judgement.
I also suggest that an alternate be named incase James is out of town or up a tree at the time. As an alternate I would like to put forth Dante Darkhart.
A message is to be sent to the king no later than Friday afternoon. Any town that fails to comply by then will not have someone sitting on the tribunal.
I hope this message finds you well and that my service to you and Yew is satisfactory.
