Dear Nathan,

Following a discussion among myself and the customers at the Fox and Hare Tavern (in Trinsic), I believe I've come up with an idea that could strongly weaken Mericles.
His main strength is his hammer, and without him he would be reduced to being merely an undead see-through daemon thing.
Perhaps use of the acid from slimes (or acid elementals, if they can be corralled) could be used to corrode said hammer, thus removing it.
Then he will be hammerless.
