I was a couple of screens away from delivering the crate to Yew when an ambush mob spawned next to the graveyard. Three gargoyles, one human and one orc, which is usually no problem. This time though, two priests of mondain were too close and they joined into the fight as I use a double ax with hit cold area. With the priests spamming flamestrikes and the gargs always keeping me poisoned and mana drained, I fell within sight of the trade officer. Now dying is no big deal in UO and it's part of the game.
My gripe is how when we die during a trade deal, the crate vanishes but the contents of the crate stay on the body at the normal weight of +75% of what it weighed while in the crate. This caused me to be well over weight and stuck at near zero stamina while trying to toss plant bowls, moulding planes, and female plate armor to the ground so I can move while fighting the same gargs and priests.
What I would ask the Dev's to change is that if I die while delivering a trade order, let the crate, including the whole of it's contents to either vanish or be looted by one of the ambush mobs. I would prefer the latter as that would allow me to continue with the trade if I am able to regain possession of the crate. Making the crate vanish and the contents of the crate stay on the body is odd in my opinion and doesn't fit what an ambush mob would do.
