A Glass Dagger?

I know these were tied to picking a side of good or evil for a fiction arc a while back but can anyone clarify what they were used for and how they worked. I think I was busy on a deployment when the arc ended?

i read a post awhile back mentioning glass weapons were used against the shadowlords in ultima lore. not sure if anyone tried that during there invasion while back. other than that, useless deco

Nope. I even brought mine with when we went to kill him. He was killed like a regular monster.

I believe the answer is, another loose ended item.
Perhaps someday, if UO lives to be a 100, this item will be pertinent to some sort of activity/quest/storyline.

IIRC it was part of the storyline to show if you would side with good or evil. Your choices were to have some impact in the storyline.

Glass Daggers served two functions.

One, if you "chose" the Shadowlords in your conversation with Andrew, he'd give you one. You can use it in battle, and there's a small chance of it doing massive damage with the price of it taking a massive durability hit. (Assuming it's working properly. As you know, everything works properly in UO 100% of the time.)

Two, while it was an off-stage event, is actually more important. Glass daggers were used to slay the Ruling Council, who were ruling in Lord British's stead. The Ruling Council's massacre paved the way for Casca's ascending the throne. Casca, of course, was in league with the Shadowlords the entire time, and his ascension plunged the realm into a darkness from which I suspect it will never fully recover.

i vaguely remember the devs mentioned that the glass dagger does like 35-50 direct damage against anything, and breaks itself on impact.

On Lake Austin I remember they could be used to instant kill npc paladins during the shadow lords event when clainin was killed
