Just a few things to think about, and hopefully someday in the future might actually get some attention:

1. Random crashes in KR.

I actually like KR, and would play it 100% of the time if it wasn't for the simple fact that after an hour or so it will crash. It isn't a "might crash" but a definite "will crash" every single time. After the initial crash wait about an hour and a half and it'll crash again. Rinse, repeat. People can't play UO if they can't stay logged in to UO.

2. Crafting menus in KR still won't scroll.

How can we craft if we can't scroll to the item we need to craft?

3. Heartwood quest rewards.

It went from feast to famine. I've done a couple of thousand quests over the past week, and out of all of those quests, have found 1 item that was worth keeping. This really needs some kind of adjustment. It's almost not worth the time to even look at anything.

4. Heartwood quest givers.

The quest givers need 1 of 2 things. Either an option to "Do Not Show Me This Quest Again", or have the quests cycle through a set rotation. Right now it's not uncommon to have the same 2 quests given over and over and over and over and over and over and over again, repeating this 20 or more times before you get to the quest you want. A third option would be to make all the quests that each quest giver offers use the same amount of raw materials to create so any quest will work.

5. Heartwood quests.

Seriously, no one is ever going to do the Smith's Dragon Armor quest. Did you really think anyone would? On that note, why is there a harp quest at the Bowyer's quest area? Not only is that a waste of materials, it's a Carpentry item, not a Bowyer's.

6. "You Must Wait To Perform Another Action"

Next to the Imp's uncanny ability to poison anyone regardless of how high their Magic Resist is, this has got to be the most annoying thing in game. Are you trying to tell me I can utilize my mouse faster than your servers can react to it? If that's the case, then something is seriously wrong.

That's all for now. Like I said....just a few points to ponder.....

Wow, I think this is the first time that not even the traditional naysayers haven't commented on something I've posted like this.

Maybe it's time to buy that lotto ticket I keep forgetting to pick up...

I agree with all of your heartwood quest suggestions, and ESPECIALLY #6 - I have hated that message for 10 years!!!

I think N°6 has already been addressed, and it's been said that this delay was implemented to prevent scripts from being too efficient / macros to be too fast / etc...

So in other words, another colossal hit to the non-cheating player that in the end really doesn't have much affect at all on a scripter, yet interferes with average gameplay. I don't know how many times I've missed a heal or a spell cast due to it and had my timing thrown off by several seconds as a result.

Heartwood quests and all other systems that are built around the "grind mechanic" have an inherently flawed design.

The "grind" design is NOT fun. It IS addictive, but not fun.

I think all grind-based systems should be replaced with fun systems, because I think playing a game should be fun.

I think the devs have generally been moving away from grind-based systems and I think UO has become more fun because of it.
For Example, the latest event arc where you go to kill Melissa. Pretty much anyone can participate, but they only get the reward once, so they don't have to grind through the content repeatedly. Basiclaly, everyone can get the reward with a little effort, but you're not encouraged to repeatedly grind out the content. Granted, melissa has great loot, so I guess there's some encouragement to grind.

Recent changes to the BoD system put the rewards at a more attainable level

The virtue dungeon artie drops are an excellent system where grinding isn't necessary.

The recent collection rewards are attainable for about anyone.

Recent invasions have had content that is attianable for anyone. Pretty much everyone I know was able to get all the event arties and whatnot.

I love the direction we're going. I hate systems like heartwood, because I am not willing to grind out redundant content to get a reward I want and I am not willing to use a script to automate the grind.

Yeah.. #6 should be there. It's probably the only advantage players have vs scripters really. (Without it, scripts could go at insane speeds)

And if you performed an action too many times.. It might overload something. Tie open door to UOA and hold down your HotKey

It's been in as long as I can remember...
The delay is a second between item uses (make that; 1 second + latency)

Annoying as it is, it's a sound mechanic, similar to skill use timers.

Just learn to wait a few moments, before trying to use items.
Or, hammer it until it lets you ;)
