I don't know if this means that a Faction guild can't ally with a non-Faction guild at all, or if they just have to do it after they join a Faction.Non-faction guilds that are part of an alliance can no longer join a faction without first leaving their alliance
If the latter, then what's the point of the change at all.
If the former, then that is a stupid idea (sorry to be so blunt) that should be reconsidered.
As it stands currently, a Faction guild can be a Faction guild and can participate in other aspects of the game.
RP, for example, often uses guild alliance and guild war mechanics for various reasons. Why on earth would you exclude Faction guilds from this?
This change would do nothing but further isolate a playstyle, Factions, that is already sufficiently isolated.
If this is being done to, for example, prevent the coordination of Factioners and non-Factioners in, for example, co-ganking someone? Then guess what, this change won't impact that at all.
We players have other means of coordinating ganks than alliance chat. Instant messaging clients such as ICQ or Yahoo Instant Messenger, the telephone, and Voice Over Internet Protocol come to mind.
This change, at best, fixes something that isn't broken and, at best, further breaks the already broken ability of Factioners to participate fully in other aspects of the game.
