A desperate cry for help - Recovering old account.

Hello UHALL,

I dont post on stratics hardly ever, even more so in UHALL, but I'm desperate, frustrated, and feel as though I have no other option, and hope this will gain the attention of someone high in the UO chain. Here's my situation:

I have been playing UO for more than a decade, on and off. Well, YEARS ago (when I was an immature and stupid child) and made a verbal crack at someone that got my account terminated. I quit for some years, then came back after a friend gave me an account and have played ever since, taking hiatuses throughout. Well, I got the notion to recover some old accounts that friends over time had left with me as they departed the game, having completely forgotten about the terminated account. But when Mythic (albeit inadvertently) reminded me of that account, I thought to myself "what the heck?". So I petitioned to have the terminated account reinstated, hoping that given the many years that had passed and multiple developer company changes, that maybe I'd see that account once again.

To my surprise, Mythic reviewed the account and determined that it had not gone through a "formal investigation" and subsequently "perma-banned", and agreed to reinstate the account. Naturally, I became very excited. This happened the better part of a week ago. Since then, I have called EA three times, emailed them 5 times, and emailed Mythic support over a dozen, and can't seem to get anyone to perform a simple task for me: link the game account to my master account so that I can reactivate the subscription. I have tried tirelessly to do this online via the account management website. When I attempt to link the game account myself, I am told the password is incorrect. When I try to reset the password, I get an email to reset my EA Master account instead. I'm at a loss. I dont know what else to do. I just want to play this old account again. I never thought it would be so difficult to give someone my hard earned money! I really hope someone who can actually help solve my issue reads this. To those who can't, and read it anyways, thanks for hearing my rant!

i would just set up 2 master accounts. personally i dont link any of my accounts because it would just be too much trouble if i ever wanted to unlink them.

Last four digits of credit card on account:

Not sure but its worth a try.
When you go to link the account did you add _uo for old accounts your suppose to add that so it will be username_uo.
might be why your getting password incorrect.
The game window you will not have to add the _uo.

I hope Mesanna starts to block emails that have to do with accounts, I know she helped and is nice but let her be a developer and learn to deal with Accounts like they should be with UO@Broadsword. It works if you know what to do an actually have a sensible and reasonable request. Not this BS I have an account name and want to get it back. That is total BS.

LEAVE MESANNA ALONE AND LET HER DEAL WITH DEVEOPING AND FIXING GAME ISSUE

As for the topic UO@Broadsword is the way to go, have account info, credit card info, legitimate email (even if it no longer active), etc. AND THEY WILL help you!!

Only problem is Mesanna is the Producer not a developer, so no need for her to develope lol

Well I guess we all have our own opinion. But I imagine if it was your account you couldn't get help with, the story would be different. Seeing as Mesanna herself invited us to write her with account problems like this, I think she has a better idea of what she feels is appropriate to write her about, lol. She specifically said if we have problems with getting an account back to write her. I personally tried the support email address (both at UO.com and Broadsword.com) and never even heard back from them. After a week or so with no response it's not unreasonable to move up the ladder. In my world if a company doesn't contact me in 2 hours they're getting a call, lol. What you say sounds nice in the prefect world, but in the EA world good luck with that, lol.

El Please give Mesanna a few days to answer you. Alot is going on and a publish is looming which has her running around like a chicken without a head so to speak. She will be happy to help you but patience is needed. If I remember correctly you can read the post of whats goiing on and give the issue a bit more time.... its been off a long time and it wont hurt to wait a tiny bit more.

I had an acc stolen from me ages ago, and managed to retrieve it with support. All was fine until I called first GM help - I was put in jail and insta disconnected. I relogged with other acc, and got contact with GM. I was told that that acc was never ment to be online again.

I got refound of the upgrades i bought and put in - but will never be able to use that acc again.

How can a GM trump a decision made by Support, or was there something Support did not tell you? Was there a claim you gave/sold the account? Ordinarily it should fall back on whoever had been paying for it.
