A cautionary tale

So. This afternoon I was in Heartwood, trying to get the spellwoven britches recipe, unsuccessfully. Then I unravelled the junk I'd gotten while trying and got a relic fragment! So I decided to go back and do some more. At 8pm Terry called me down for a TV program I'd been watching, I decided, since the char was only wearing newbie clothes, to risk logging off in Heartwood for the hour the program lasts.

9pm I log in - and am promptly whisked off to a shrine.

Valor Shrine!! No armor, no magery, no fighting skills, lots of dark wisps and serpents, no way off. Died of course.

I had to resort to 'help, stuck' and rez when I got to town. Lost a handful of sewing kits, a few yards of cloth and about 8 quiver recipes.

I am sorry for your loss...
but be advised that dungeons, Champion spawns, and various places are not
safe zones to logoff of.
Yes, you can be randomly placed at a Virtue shrine... the last time I did this
I ended at Humility Shrine... and had to find a healer to recover my items.
I was only logoff for ten minutes.

hehe, well I hadn't anything important with me, I knew I could wind up dead in Heartwood. I've died there before, but winding up on an island I couldn't get off was a bit unexpected to say the least.

Sounds weird to me. Isn´t Heartwood supposed to be a "town"?
