After toying with it on TC1 a bit, I notice that some of the items the monsters drop are INSANELY powerful (yeah, a lot are useless too, but the insane ones actually have a pretty good drop rate)
Now, going by the reasoning in the new pub notes, the "tradeoff" for the insanely powerful ones is that they're cursed and can't be insured.
Well, on siege we don't have insurance, so many of these super items don't really have a tradeoff, and they're FAR higher end than the items most people will wear (stuff like a full artifact or max imbued suit is uncommon here). Now, i'm not saying that it won't be nice for monster loot to actually be usable again, but i could defniitely see potential for it to be severely unbalancing, leading to much like shortly after AOS all of our current gear being basicly trash and leading to an even worse neverending item grind than before. Of course can't say much more without more testing but best to voice concerns early so that they can be (hopefully) seen.
