It'll be interesting to see the impact of this for Siege in the long term.
It actually sounds kinda cool to me, unlike the idiots over on Uhall I'll wait for it to open before I pass judgement.
We need to face a few hard facts...I have been back on Siege for 5 weeks since taking a 100 day break and it is really bad, the same 25 people every day and night.
I will try this out as it sounds very easy, Advanced Char Token and 10x skill gain, hell...start with GM resist and fight naked!
My fear is that so many people are used to paying their insane templates that they will find this boring. I just want some PVP and Siege does not have it!

I'm one of the idiots passing judgment on EA. Yep, when I restarted my accounts I logged into Siege. Agreed very few people. My point is there are things that need to be fixed on Siege. Why isn't the issue of why people do not play on Siege addressed, instead of it being very clear how the intent is to ignore Siege.
It's too easy to toss away the toy that's just slightly broken for the shiny new thing. How long will it take before that shine wears off and it's yet another abandoned shard? It is going to be a "classic" shard, how much attention is it really going to get after it's created? LOL
I'm really beginning to think EA is just grasping in order to keep accounts active.
I agree...once we get this shiny new classic server is it gonna get the same attention SP does? And if it doesn't why is that? And if it gets the attention just like prodo shards do then why doesn't SP? So let's pretend it does so we got prodo getting 85% of the devs time and classic getting the other 14% so that puts SP right around 1%. So another words from EA...**** SP...is that politically correct to say?
Bottom line is SP gets the shaft once again...and EA will continue to blow more smoke up our arses acting like they give a rat's ass...
Then look at it this way everything we as a community has done is down the ****hole...wait!
Let's go to another server (actually another SP or what SP is "suppose" to be) and let's hope they don't **** all over the classic server too...
P.S. Everything you have done on SP has been for nothing so start over on this shiny new classic server and "hope" it don't get treated like SP has or get thrown away and people have to start all over again...

I dont disagree with either of you...
That being said, Siege is dead ATM and if I can put in ltd time (advan char tokens + 10x skill gain) why not try to new shard.
At this point I have all I need in all facets of UO save one...active PVP.
It stinks that a quick fix like this my only option for pvp, well there is alwasy ATL...hello Crunch!
