9th Anniversary new account code - Does it grant access to housing tiles?

I haven't been able to find an answer to this anywhere. Does anyone know whether a new account created with a 9th anniversary collection code will get access to the shadow and crystal house tiles?

I know that when an existing account is upgraded it grants access to those tiles, but does the new account code do the same?

Also, is there any other way to get access to these tiles?

Any account (new or existing) that has had a 9th Anniversary Collection code applied to it should have access to crystal/shadow house tiles.

I'm still not sure what that means. If I create a new account with the new account code, does that count for a having a 9th Anniversary Collection code applied?

Or do I have to claim the upgrade code on that account to in order to get access to the tiles?

9th anniversary was a special pack for the anniversary. It's not an expansion and contains nothing that is essential for game play, it is therefore not included in any standard new account.
New accounts include all expansions up to Mondains Legacy but neither 8th nor 9th anniversary pack.

That does not answer my question.

My question is simply: If I create a new account using only the new account code from a 9th Anniversary box, does that account get access to the shadow and crystal house tiles?

Since the account code is from the 9th anniversary box, and the crystal and shadow tile sets are also from the 9th anniversary, I would yes. I do not know this for sure, but it does sound logical.

Yes, either an upgrade or new account code for the 9th Anniversary provides access to the 9th Anniversay tiles. And those are presently the only two ways to gain access to the Shadow and Crystal tilesets.

And to clarify just a bit further, yes, a new account code MUST be used to make a new account -- it cannot be used to upgrade an existing account. I think the OP knows this, just putting it in for anyone else curious.

Please tell me you aren't asking to upgrade so you can build a crystalline monstrosity. Those tiles should be excised from the game like the plague that they are. There is a project for the new art guy. Redo the crystal tile set to look more like crystal and less hideously ugly so we don't want to puke everytime we see them used in-game. As well as fixing all the extremely ugly stuff that came in the crystal deed set.

I'm fairly certain that for 95% or more of the player base looking at a house of crystal is some form of sadistic torment.

but the shadow housing tile set is (imo) the awesomest. well worth the investment of the 9th anni box
(and i agree that the crystal set is the absolute ugliest/worst)

And I agree the Shadow is one of the best and one of the more complete sets.

The only thing good in the crystal set are some of the floor tiles.
