65,370 Gold Pieces in one pile

Yesterday I was at Luna and spied a pile of gold which was more than 5k over the 60k pile limit. It was just lying on the ground.

I have never seen this before and was wondering how it occurs?

haha.. yes I did as it happens. Stuck it in my bank box but then dumped it about an hour later for fear it might get me in to trouble.

There was a bug with begging at one point that could generate negative gold, which sometimes transformed into superstacks (because to some variables, -1 = 65535).

I've never witnessed it personally, but that's one possibility.

There have been lots of those piles lying around New Haven, Europa, the last two or three weeks... nobody bothers to pick them up. *shrugs*

it's just a bug with begging, I've had loads of them. Some npc's give them when you beg from them. Just dump them in the trash, can't spend them, can't stack them they're useless.
