6 months of training a character is ridiculous...

After 4 n 1/2 months of training... my cousins character is at.

94hiding 54wrestling 95eval 110magery 100med 93resist


freaking ridiculous that it takes 4 months to hit the bottom bar of competition (wrestling still sucks and had I trained that too.. my skills would still be in the 80s)

This is what's killing this shard.

it takes 138 days to make a 6x120 template, it takes 91 days to make a 7x100 template.

Hate to say it, but you've been slacking so get over it.

Who in the hell plays UO for 140 days straight... or even 91?

you dont have to play UO for 91 days straight. It only takes about 5 seconds to log on an get a gain, get about 20-33 gains a day, thats a total of 100-165 seconds wasted per day on getting full gains on a character.

I mean what [censored] loser has 165 seconds to spend playing video games i mean there's only 86400 seconds in a day. I mean thats a whole .0019% of your day you have to waste to get full gains on a character.

You must spend the other 99.9981% of your day being totally cool!

from 0-64 poisoning went quick in one day, from 64-70 about 1-2 weeks.... arrg damn longest two weeks ever!!!

I agree Black. People don't log on their accounts 150 some days str8 to build their char. How many hours do they have to sit at their screen once their rot kicks in. If their skills are in the 80-100 range it takes 3-4 hours a night of training. HUH?

Yeah, more people would come to this shard if they could train their characters in a few weeks.

technically yes, i did it on blackrock while it was in to 70 in about an hour. maybe 2

Or do you not count the time between gains too?

I got magery from 70 to 110 off the alicrity... the other skills are what we've been working... every chance we've had we work the char... I dunno what else we could be doing.

AMEN to that.
I am FINALLY at rot or better for archery, healing, tactics, resist, and anatomy. I desperately wish to go out and fight- yet just the other day ran away cuz I knew I wouldn't last 10 sec. It's rediculous.

You can play with that char, just get you a staff to run for your defense and set focus to go up until you can work wrestle.

With the exceptions of taming and maybe poisoning, you're right.

I hate to break it to all the folks who like to complain about RoT... That has absolutely nothing to do with why we've lost a large portion of our playerbase, nor does it have anything to do with why people don't or won't play Siege.

The culmination of all that is broken and just flat out wrong with this shard, is why a lot of people aren't terribly interested.

If the veteran players of this "close knit community" are abandoning ship faster than we can keep up with, why should anyone else want to bother coming over? Don't get me wrong, I still love this shard and I'm still having fun, but we cannot seriously expect others to want to play here when our vets are leaving because it's becoming even more vacant and broken as time goes on.

Trammel has broken every shard that now has a Trammel. There is far too much Trammel in Siege Perilous for our shard to survive.

Now GG... actually there are many that are busy with life where there is no access to UO... Different strokes for different folks... I do a lot of traveling and so does WyRm and then there are the students, and just getting started with their independents, that are busy with more important career thingies and uo is not so high on their list of scheduled daily activities... and then there are the family players that would rather be with family and not thinking about logging on except when they wish..These are not the kind of people I would ever call loosers.

I think Kat has hit the nail on the head about the slow intergration of trammel into Siege with Vet players of the old school not getting what they need to have the fun they remember having before the demise began.. We would not be having the problems with out of control templates if they have kept the basic simple and pure...

I hate to break it to you but your not right.

Most of the vets on Siege who leave actually love Siege and it's ruleset... they just can't stand how low the population is or how slow it grows because of how RoT is set up. Some can't stand fighting the same faces day in and day out... with a larger population, it basically makes game interactions more frequent (you don't have to go look for them) and the game more entertaining in general.

All of the "game stopping" issues aside from crappy monster loot and RoT have been fixed. Siege works fine when your up and able to play it.

Now I know you hate being wrong or told you are, but [censored] happens, ya know?

We both started UO 10 years ago... and we've never sold off our accounts when taking a break. They are kind of priceless to us.

Because of this I doubt there's even 100 people left in UO who have an account comparable to mine in terms of characters, items and what not... and that's including you. Infact I know you don't.

You just simply can't purchase what I have since you had to have played during that time period in order to have acquired them.

A house here on siege and 2 on Atlantic all on 1 account is just one example of what I'm speaking of.

Money doesn't buy everything shak

not very hard to have multiple accounts, and shak had a few choice houses/ and castle at one point so... technically no uo money does buy everything... blessed orny for 2-3 years? that was pretty priceless :p

Yeah but buying an account is pretty much just a loss...

We play atlantic too... have fully developed chars there and here is really what were going for.

Just buying a house with no chars or crappy chars or chars on other shards with crappy stuff is pointless...

and this thread has been side-tracked enough.

RoT still sucks.
