So I have decided to finally cancel my last 2 remaining UO accts and this decision was the hardest because, BOTH accts are grandfathered and have many homes on them some on other servers besides great Lakes. One acct has a castle the other a keep and the smallest on both is a sandstone type (I think thats what it was called).

Here is why I am saying this. Unless someone can make me a LEGAL and realistic offer on the real estate (proceeds to be handed out later) I am thinking of haveing a scavenger hunt of sorts. I will every day until all homes are gone drop one house per day. Ill tell u what server its on and u find it. I can assure u that every home dropped will be well worth the hunt. I have 3 (LEGIT) server birth rares that will be put in 3 differant homes and thats just the tip of the iceburg. I know at last count I had between all accts and toons atleast 700 Million in gold alone. So does it sound like fun?

Its always sad to see a long term player leave. I know how difficult it is... Mostly becuase I've given away so much stuff when I've left before and then a few months later came back.

Stash any personal momentos/sentimental items in your banks just incase you come back. I would love to buy the castle/keep but I dont think I'll have enough.

If you do decide to do the hunt I'll try and come along. I used to love the house dropping events hehe. Just the lag always hits hehe.

I don't think it could be much better said then what Salivern said. In my 11 + years i have seen many players leave with no intent on returning but the itch comes over them and they have the need to come back to visit old friends and see the new changes. I suggest strongly you keep at least one account available to come back on to visit(don't forget the return to Britt thing they do every so often). Your idea of planned idoc is awesome and unselfish-something I personally would like to see more of in the game world. Like Sal, i suspect i too do not have the real life resources to pay what any player would want for a castle or keep(i blame the wife) but hey maybe we can get together and talk about what you would be looking at for things on great lakes.

I am sad to see yet another player of this wonderful game have to make the decision to walk away. As others have said before me it is a good idea to keep some things that are sentinmental and an account you can always use to come back if the need should ever arise. I my myself cannot imagine that in game gold would be helpful to you for any of the properties as you mentioned some 700 million. Double that with the fact of you are quitting it would seem I am in no position to help there.
