gain of points rot isnt, wasnt worth effort and those that know me i could play 15 hours a day day in day out!!!!!!!
and i liked concept but lol was way beyond a normal play style to succeed
if could play normal, make toon in reasonable manor, might have liked insurance never mattered to me, just that rot wasn't worth the effort and i never cheated or used scripts

Well I could think of lots of things to do.
1. Go Red
2. Go chop trees. Maybe run into someone that happens to talk to ya, you get their icq and you don't quit
3. Go take someone to a dungeon
4. Get 0.1 each day on musicianship
5. Log into some shard like a Japanese shard and see what it was like there. Remember when they would pk your American arse when there were five shards. Start a character and go postal. Or if you are from off shore log into an American shard and go postal. Whatever.
6. Make a bunch of chairs in Vesper and sit there in the city waiting for the town folk to return.
7. Offer to repair everyones armour.
8. Get a bunch of cloth and make piles of different clothes for people to pick up at the bank.
9. Have a pk tournament in your house.
10. Turn your house into a maze and let people try to get through the maze to reach the treasure.
11. Get 100 people on a patch of grass to have the biggest war of Sosaria. May need a bit of advertising the first day, but surely by day three they will come. There is a patch of grass NE of Vesper.
12. Hmm. There has got to be more things to do for the last three days...

trust me when i say you WILL regret it and you WILL stop by sometime and fall into the UO trap, you have not said WHY you are leaving?
just keep the 1 acct open with the castle its only a tenner(UK money) a month, just log in from time to time have a little look around
i must say this is THE most active the game has been for over 3 years, regualr event EM events ,players returning, you have invested so much time to get where you are, why stop now?
has your wife/girlfriend given you THE untimatum?
How about meeting me in game and we go off to a dungeon together. Have a laugh and then you'll have something on a positive note to remember on.
Of course I'll try to talk you out of leaving ( I always do ) but at lest ya could have a laugh. I'ld also make sure you banked as much of your stuff as you could so that it didnt all get lost. Nothing worse than coming back to nothing.
So what you say? Spend an hour or two adventuring eh eh.

What a nice response.
This is why I have returned to UO after leaving a few times. There doesnt always have to be an objective to be met, beyond having a laugh and some fellowship.

if you have to ask ...
pack up stuff you might want on a return. put it in the bank, wear it ... whatever.
go to some remote island in the Pacific or Caribbean and do a lot of fishing and drinking.

Just take a brake and play some lame game...
Then come back to UO and you will see its still the best out there...
Your houses...should still be around for 90 days after closing account so gives you time to think on returning..
And yes Seige is dead at times...just depends on the time...
But dont give it all away..i regret doing it...but it is kind of fun starting over...

Why play Siege when you could go play other, more era-accurate shards, if you get my drift.

But if you only do one thing before you go....., unlock all items in Castle and house so they time out before they go Idoc.
Bank all your important stuff.
If you decide to come back. Try a different shard and a different community if you were bored previously.

A friend of mine convinced me to try Seige about 6 months ago. I am a very casual player and not a pvper. I have had so much fun. I thought I would hate ROT and I love it. It has almost spoiled me for LS, my main shard, especially when I am burning so many ingredients doing imbueing.
I have gained back that small amount of fear that I use to have preTRAM. I love it. Always on the lookout. Never sure how that person I just met will react.
If You have not tryed Seige in a while, then it is worth it to try. I must say though, you will not find the people bank sitting. You will find them out and around, dungeons, their houses, etc. The NEW guild is absolutely the best. Great people. I have met people from GIL and Heaven and Hell that were very nice people.
I hope to someday run into Kelmo.

But's it's okay because I don't understand how Brokers think either.
Put your stuff on the back burner, again, you will be sorry when you want to come back.
I've seen it may times now and have heard players say, I wish I kept my stuff. Some quit again out of frustration that they let it all go.

3 days left..hrm...
I would spend my last 3 days like my very first 3 days of UO. Make a swordsman/miner and mine for those 3 days...In fel also since when I started there was no tram.....
Thats probally how Ill leave the game also with my miner.....getting ore...

I agree 100%. I played uo for a lil over 10 years off and on..I recently left the game, and i thought i would be going insane without playing, but ive actually had a lot more fun spending time with my wife and baby boy. I still read through some forums from time to time, but havent craved uo at all."3 days of addiction left"

UO is great but real life can be too.
People take this game way to serious, and forget that theres actually stuff in real life that is ALOT more progressive, and ALOT more meaningful than a game.
Always, ALWAYS put family before this game.

This was several years ago now... I went through all my chests and found all sorts of stuff I had forgotten I had. The rare or sentimental stuff went into the bank with about 100mil in gold to pay for the warhorse upkeep into the next millennium.
Everything else I piled into mules and traveled the lands giving it away to new players and guilds that remained friendly over the years.
Back when boxes would not time out with enough weight. I would leave boxes with ore + high dollar checks in newbie zones for them to discover.
Was a good way to check out.

yeah I can honestly say BANK as much as you can, I quit over a year ago and just recently returned, I sold almost everything I had including 2 castles and 2 luna houses, I made about 3000 in RL cash which was nice but when I came back It really was a pain to try and get back to where I was before. Needless to say I'm still in the process of kicking myself in the rear. Luckly I banked alot of my rare items which have helped in refunding my projects.
