The Macro I use is below.

Some Setup .....

I have the pet "All Follow Me"
I double click the Target assuring it is the current target.

The F12 is the primary one I use

The F1 is for when the Invoke Honor ... stalls and / or the Mob is hitting on my pet and I can not get it to be the Current Target

The following is a Copy -> Paste from my Macro File

########
F12 0 0 0
+I n v o k e V i r t u e H o n o r
+W a i t F o r T a r g
+C u r r e n t T a r g e t

Can you please explain it step by step ?

########
F12 0 0 0
Ok, F12 is the keyboard key being used to start the macro but what about the 3 zeros after it ??

+I n v o k e V i r t u e H o n o r
Ok, this starts the Honor Virtue so it is self explicative.
The words "I honor Thee" are automaticly said by invoking the Honor Virtue ?

+W a i t F o r T a r g
Ok, this also makes sense since after invoking the Virtue the game wants to know on which target to use so, a delay makes sense to promt us on what target we want to use the honor Virtue

+C u r r e n t T a r g e t
Now here I starts not to understant. "Current Target" ?
We have not yet selected a target unless the "wait for target" prompts a crosseye and asks us to manually select a target.
And even if "Wait for Target" does that, and forces the player to actually select a target to use the Honor Virtue on, what is the use of a "current target" when we just a split second before actually selected a Target ?

I do not understant the need for "Current Target". Can you please explain it ?

+D e l a y 5
Is the Honor Virtue a skill then ? I mean, there is a cooldown in between using skills but also in between using a Virtue and then a skill ?
Why is it necessary to put in a 5 (seconds ?) delay before using the taming skill and say to the tame to kill ?

+S a y A l l K i l l
Ok, this is fine to understand, we need to give the command to the pet to kill.

+W a i t F o r T a r g
Again, why the need to issue a "Wait for Target" ?
And why "wait" but no delay specified ?

+C u r r e n t T a r g e t
Since we have the target selected from previously targeting invoking the Honor Virtue it makes sense using Current target.

What is this ? Is this F1 macro to be used as an alternative to the F12 macro or after one has used already the F12 macro ?

And if yes, why ?

I mean, with the F12 Macro we already did the complete task : Honor the Target and tell our pet to kill it. Why would it be neveccary to also run the F1 invoke Honor Virtue again ?

Thanks.

Most of the time with that setup, you wouldn't need to use the alt-F1 (at least I think that's alt, could be control or shift). If for any reason (typically because you hit the F12 twice on accident) the F12 macro stalls or if you had the wrong target queued, then you could get back on track using the F1 macro for honor.

My own method is different, since I don't make full use of the targetting system.

I use control z for honor, and leave the macro at that. Control F is follow me, control D is all kill, control R is all stop.

After I kill the previous honored creature, I immediately hit the "all stop" macro. This prevents my pet from attacking the next creature automatically.

Then I use "all follow me" to get my pet and the opponent where I want them to be (helps with looting later).

Then I bring up the opponent's status bar and use control Z to honor the monster.

Then I all kill it.

It's a little more work, but it never hangs. With a little practice, you can do the whole process in about 2 seconds.

Ok, how I use the Macro and Mass Gain in Honor.

Assume you are at a more or less Static Spawn, White Wyrm, Succubus, Thrasher etc ......

The first encounter I just have the pet Kill the Mob.

Then I tell the Pet to All follow me as this prevents the pet from teleporting to the next spawn and doing damage.

Then when the Mob spawns, I double click the Mob. This sets the Current Target.

I then hit the F12 hot key to invoke the macro.

Once the Pet has trotted on off to engage the Mob, I tell it to All follow me. This drags the battle back to me (I do NOT do this on mobs that have an Area of Effect ability). This helps in Looting and positioning the pet to be the target on the next spawn rather than me.

The Delay 5 is required to insure the Say command actually functions correctly. That is by the way, not 5 seconds, it is .5 (one half) second.

The Shift F1 is because on occasion the All Kill Target dysfunctions or stalls. This just continues to cascade on into the next spawn cycle etc unless I attend to it. It is almost as though something in the targeting system is not quite in sync with what should be. What I do to resync it is, while the battle is going on, I will redo the Mob target All kill and then target the pet and Lore and vet. This generally speaking gets everything back on track. I do not see this problem except maybe 1 in 100+ times.
