2d client macros disappearing.

I've noticed my macros set to specific keys randomly disappearing. For me it has only been `, space, and NUM X keys. Has anyone else had similar experiences recently? I'd like to hear other experiences in hopes to find what the trigger for it is.

I ran a some "diff" utilities and it only targeted those specific keys, nothing to do with location or the normal truncating of the macros file. It doesn't seem to happen every time the macro files are written (on client close).

The macro files are written as you make them. So what to do is make all your macros, go into the character folder where the macros are and copy the file before you close UO. Once you have closed UO over write the macro file with the one you copied and then set the macro file to read only. Works for me

I would have said the same thing but the OP say it does not happen every time. If its the problem you suggest it would happen every time.

Sometimes it happens if you mistakingly type a space at the end of your log in.... When you type in your account name

Interesting thought setting the macros to read only.
