I had about 300 maps combined, of level 1 & 2 - too much storage even for the GM of THB.

So, I commenced to sorting them by location....

60 maps were on those snake & gator infested tropical islands, so those got donated without doing to the library.

I did 40 more maps, before I donated the regs and completed maps I had at that point.

That left 200 maps, and that's when I started keeping score.

Let's see, from 200 level 1 & 2 maps (and their spawn)

45253 mage and necromancy regs
~200 fertile dirt from Earth elementals
over 1200 gems (based on the amount of weight the imbuer's gem bag increased)
Enough loot that a brand new imbuer, going from the amount trained in Ter Mur, is now sitting at 70.0, with 135 more items remaining to unravel from the last set of maps.
About 1300 collection points from just turning in complete maps, and about 30,000 more from the gold collected from the chests, the monsters, and selling all the looted scrolls (the only thing I DIDN'T take from the chests were the 1 GP sale value Exorcism scrolls, and the level 1-3 scrolls off the orc mages)

A lot more free lockdowns in my house :)

PS - for most of the maps, I was running around with my two pet vollems, training them. They both have anatomy & eval in the 60s now, tactics over 99, and med in the high 80s. It's gonna take a LOT of work to get their megery out of the 30s (they started in the 20s), but I am actually wondering if they are ready for a level 3 map.

They are ok for a non-tamer's pet.

They are CatHat's "Kittygoyles" (from the U.Hall humor thread that took a life of its own...). I named mine ThingOne and ThingTwo.

Stat wise, they are the following:

2 control slots, taming not needed.
STR 500+
HP 300+
Dex/Stam trainable to 125
Int/Mana trainable to 125

Resists: About 60 physical, 30s fire, 30s cold, 30s poison, 20s Energy

Skills:
Spellcaster (magery), but start around 20 magery & eval. Tactics and Resist Spells start in 90s, Wrestling around 80, and they train up fairly well. (and, of course, Anatomy & Med, that start at 0, like every other creature).

I suspected as much. but on checking The Hunters guide, it's confirmed and obvious.

Vollems are effectively reskinned Nightmares that can't be ridden, but don't require taming either. Their stats are quite literally identical, right down to the loot on them when one dies the first time.

So, they can be used for about anything you'd use a Mare for, except that you can't "mount" one to rescue it from a fight.

Because they probably aren't aware what they can do... It's probably never occurred to them to check the stats, and they think it's something worthless like a ferret or squirrel.
