2/14/08 Gifts

The gifts are great.. in 2d.
I logged in on KR and for lack of a better way to put it... eeeewwww! The colors are off, the bears are way over size, the dragon stuffys are small and are barely recognizable and the red velvet boxes are a burgundy cube with little distinction between the ribbon/bow and the box.
I am really trying to like KR but unfortunately, the more i try it the less i like it.

I think your still just upset that my chicken beat yours up...

Take a look at a fire steed hurts the eyes also ..I will keep trying KR and see if i can get a better feel for it .

grrrrrr... had to bring up the chicken thing didn't ya.
My reasons for disliking KR goes beyond the visual aspects. Dragging stacked items was designed to make looting easier however I find it is actually more difficult because actually grabbing the items is more difficult, and when there are multiple corpses you still have to ctrl/shift to bring up their bars to select the corps, if ya gonna have to do that you are not really getting the benefit of the dragging the stacked item over using 2d. Also, movement is still difficult as I almost always continue moving when i release the right mouse button. Controlling my direction of travel in tight spaces is difficult as well. So in a nut shell there are several problems I am having adjusting to KR and at this time I don't feel it is worth it when there is a better alternative.

Ralf...yours is an opinion that I actually do listen to and consider when thinking about KR. For one main reason...You often comment that you are wanting and willing and trying to give it a chance to like it. Which, believe me, is how I feel. So, I look VERY forward to reading your feedback about KR.

In fact...I may have to ask you to possibly do like a weekly KR report...hmmm. Ralfs KR report v.1 kinda' has a ring to it eh? I'd read it religously, cause I personally think you have the same way of looking at stuff that I do.

Please Ralf, hop off the soapbox if you must, but don't be a stranger to it.

Thats a rather flattering comment. I guess I'll have to be more careful about what I say from now on.

No sense doing a weekly report if the KR client doesn't get a fix every week. Better would be to do a report everytime KR gets a patch so we can read if it is worth trying yet.
