If you want to be safe while mining then just mine in trammel? Felucca is a lawless land filled with murderers, thiefs and people who just want to see the world burn. And people are suprised that they get attacked when they go there? When you go to Fel you take that risk.

I don't care about being killed while mining in Fel ( I was born there and don't go to Tram very often, so I know the drill ). I was just wondering about what the challenge is supposed to be when somebody kills a character he knows will be most likely defenseless. I understand it when people don't like bots and kill them ( I've done that in the past because they bug me ), but with real players? Don't get it, but then each to his own I'd say ....

If there was no risk to gathering resources in fel, everyone would do it since you get double, it's a risk you take when mining in fel. Praise the lord Jesus Christ that there are reds out there to balance this economy.

As to economy balance - even now when Shadow ingots cost 300gp and Valorite ones cost 1000gp it's very difficult to make mining profitable.

Its slightly more exciting than not killing said miner.
