Hey everyone,
Unfortunately, the last patch also contained a bug which impacts the scaling of 1h weapons ability power. Due to this bug all abilities are in fact weaker than intended. This problem gets more severe the higher the tier is. In short, this is not the intended rework to the 1h weapons. The reworked scaling for 1h weapons should not reduce their damage output that significantly.
We are working on a patch to resolve this bug, which we intend to deploy this as soon as possible.
Here are some examples of what the values are right now and what they will be after the bugfix:
Broadsword, T4 with 0 masteries - the ability Heroic Strike:
Right now it deals 178 damage.
After the bugfix it will deal 187 damage.
Broadsword, T8 with full destiny board and masterpiece- the ability Heroic Strike:
Right now it deals 343 damage.
After the bugfix it will deal 394 damage.
We apologize for all inconveniences caused by this, and thank you for all your revised and detailed feedback on this issue since the patch.
We'd also like to mention, after taking your feedback into consideration we plan to improve the rewards in Red/Black 5v5 Hellgates with an upcoming patch. Details on that will follow.
