170 luck bow and the loot changes are poor: VARIETY!

Well,

170 luck compound bow. Uncursed nothing else. Who cares? The old 1000 luck suits will just become 2000 luck suit bases.

Please add more depth of variety to the loot.

However, I liked the loot before the changes yesterday. Wind elementals 2000 plus luck, rarely give a relic now.

What was fun for me... all loot had a purpose... could imbue them. -110 luck let you imbue more, relics came from different places.

Yeah I still join in our unbound EV's... so I get my arties but lower end loot is becoming useless.


How about adding this to the loot DROP table... chance for relic and call it MAGICALLY ENCHANCED for fun for us imbuers. Items high or low with this might yield a few relics.

AND how about this EXREMELY STABLE with a chance of extra imbuing 50 to 150 on it.

I mean variety is the spice of life and slowly you are controling the loot changes to low end and high end and the bottom half will be useless.

Just a thought. Add those 2 bonuses as chances.

I agree.

I was enjoying getting a few relics off a bag of loot. Even with 1800 luck I went through 4 bags loaded and didn't receive a single relic. Don't swing so far left or right with your changes DEVs. Maybe not 10+ relics outta a bag but at least 1-5 outta 60+ items.

Now you really expect Dev's to not swing 180 deg's in the opposite direction after all these yr's of doing it.... come on. It's a tradition with them :blushing:

I still got one relic from 49 items taken from clay golems, collecting major and greater magic items, or lesser artifacts only.

Its true, they did seem to do a full 180.
Freind and i do the red named npc on lvl 5 with the vortex and it even gives out crappy no frag loot.

I have found that the people that complain about to much or many handy drops are the ones who have a diferent way of getting them..
Or it cuts into there profits if to easy to get will come pancake on the forum..

Maybe im peranoid, but even ingame chat its the same..
But i do like your idea on extream balanced and other little bonus...or iccing on the cake to speak..

Now to see what dungeon is next...Hythlot will be fun...

What the Devs aren't aware off is creating a scenario where you expand the same loot to everywhere while accidentially destroying the versitility of high and low end monsters and rewards and then you end up with single players individually farming the best monsters...

Or simply put no one go after the mid to lower monsters and they will just sit.

It also reduces interactivity. There are many of us that cant solo MONSTER X and I have even met people AND... we cross heal as strangers. When is the last time that happened with regularity?

Everybody should of known the nerf was coming. Once word leaked how on the increased chances of getting relics the complaints came in on the boards about the loot. It may of needed tweaked a tad bit but as usual they go 10 steps back.

As Raven said, most will pass up the lower end monsters and go fight the high end ones and solo them to farm. The dungeon at least had many playing many different levels that was getting used now most will have to go to the lower levels to get that loot.

Lets just say this was a good way to kill off the excitement in shame and most levels wont be hunted just like before.

If these are actual suggestions and not some kind of joke, I'd have to disagree. Loot spawning with mods purely for unravelling is a terrible idea. Better off having mobs all drop magical residue, enchanted essence, or relic frags and make an NPC that will trade them up 100-10-1.

The properties on gear are already far too numerous and adding MAGICALLY DELICIOUS on drops just so you can farm easy relic frags is just nonsense.

I think the nerfing had to be done.

I think it was a great way to lure in steady traffic into the newly revamped dungeon (which I'm sure required considerable time and effort on the part of the devs), but the "grand opening promo" is over. If that loot system had kept up, they might as well have starting making relic frags the loot on mongbats, because that's how scarce they'd be.

The new Shame isn't ruined because you can't farm hundreds of frags. As I understand it, you still have the chance of pulling some really nice stuff (really really nice stuff), but the frequency is now on par with the rest of UO.

kill the named bosses, like the Burning evil mage. they drop about 10 greater artifacts which typically unravel into relics.

I just got a Mana Regen 4 bracelet with -100. Noncursed.

To imbue it I know get 140 points of space.

Useless.

Ill just stick with unbounds. But there is little value in mid to low loot now.

Ah well, lets of work by the devs to become yet another find the highest monster and farm.

Again, you're wrong. Farming low end mobs can still produce desirable loot, as you will still find max properties and with a lower level of curses and negatives. As an example, armor pieces with the only property being 25% LRC. Quite nice, got one yesterday off a regular earth elemental.

Please give your entitled self-pity a rest, the Devs are doing fine and don't need any more bad suggestions.

They even raised some of the intensities!

If you are saying shame was fun because you could get easy relics than I am afraid you did not like the new shame for the right reasons (or at least for the reasons the new loot system and the new dungeon were developed - which of course could be your oppinion and is absolutely fine with me).
And if you are saying your MR4 bracelet is useless with -100 luck, you will have to farm until you receive one without the negative property I guess.
And it will not be so useless anymore...
And your chance of getting such an item will actually be better on level 1 or 2 and not on level 5.

I hadnt really farmed relics at all. But now after shame got in ive got 100+ relics, and i havent seen any changes from what i unraveled so im fine with the changes, ive burned some white pearls to get my weapon to be better but apart from that ive only gainend a lot.

most people seem to be complaining about the fact its harder to get relic fragments from the items as often, because of the intensities were giving too much item weight vs what they should have given, the only change i didn't like

was the fact that -100 luck no longer counts as -100 item weight. and this should be changed back, -100 luck Still counted as 1/5 properties, so sacrificing a 5th mod to add a higher cap on the other 3 should be allowed imo.

Haven't had a single relic frag from Level 2 despite collecting hundreds of pieces from dead Clay Golems and Mud Elementals with 1000 luck. Was getting about 4 per 40 items before the change.

Its not entitle its well earned

And I am not saying you might yah you might get something nice. But you the might is pretty lame now. Wasted opportunity. Try imbuing some of the nice low end stuff you get.

If you have days to waste continue to farm the low end stuff. Me... ill just wait for the legendary noncursed item. The odds are better.

Nope not easy. You could get some low end mid end stuff worth a hoot and imbue it with the discount from -110 luck. Now the fix, imbuing it isnt worth it.

Plus you could bag all your loot and maybe get a few relic frags.

Nothing huge just something something.

agreed.
you are penalized -100 but could toss on something else. Now it is just a waste
