14 Day Trial?

Yay, so I just downloaded the client, used a 14 day trial, create a character (yes a thief) and within the first 5 minutes, my client fails 5 times. Doh...not a good thing even though I know what to expect (Im not somebody trying the game out the first time)...la

Have an open mind for a moment and consider downloading the Enhanced Client with Pinco's UI. The UI and macro system is so much better than the CC.

Otherwise if it has to be the CC for whatever reason, try re-installing the CC.

This is of no actual help at all, but I have W8 on work computer and have cllient unstable on it too. Don't think CC has ever really crashed on my W7.Or Vista before that. Or Xp. Perhaps try running the client on compatibility mode? Assuming W8 has such.

Well, I went back to basics. I rebooted my machine. So far so good.

Now the bad news is that Siege is empty. Eeeps!!!Looks like I need to start up on another shard...which are the most populated US servers at this time? No worries if the bulk of players play on Trammy facets...there are ways to play a thief around that little fact ...la

Atlantic is the only shard with number of population so high you feel a busy world adound you. Many other shards have lively communities still. But only Atlantic could be called fullish.

No high horse. I played the shard for a long time. It was never as empty as I found it today. In regards to a horse...yes I had one...starting with 50 taming sure does help...la

Sheesh, things have changed so much. I am holding off on upgrading to the High Seas expansion until after my 14 day trial is up. They sure do limit what you can and cannot do with the trial accounts, lol.

I snooped someone's pack last night and saw some scrolls I would normally have stolen (yeah, not old enough to join the guild yet) but got them to "donate" them to me. Too bad though...can't use them...la

When you are old enough to join the guild, check out the new Blackthorn's Dungeon on Felucca side. There are almost always a few folks down there willing to donate some of the new Minax artifacts. In fact, don't be surprised if a few of the hidden ones don't fight back and act as though they aren't even there!

I just had the fortunate luck to help a 12 year absent player on Origin. He was marvling how we had changed... He mentioned his guild from a receintly killed off game that his guild there was looking for a home... I invited them here. They number 40 so this will make any shard they choose a happy place. I want all to look for returning and new players and give a hand even advice on armor or how a dungeon goes is of great use.... Rico welcome back sugar. May we have more such returning players!

She how defensive she got? Lol..it doesn't matter what time of the day or what day you log on siege, I've never seen more than 5 people in one spot. Unless you ask for a duel then all 5 dismount stealthers show up to show you how good they are..but don't worry. "Just because you don't see them doesn't mean they aren't there" :some sort of sneaky emoticon face:

AS it happens alot of players on siege are not pvprs
As with other shards there are times when ther is few on..this is same on most of the production shards..work and school no matter what part of the world your in comes first.

Oh trust me, I played Siege for years. I know the herd has been culled over time. I know there are times when the population is more active, but for me to be able to hit every town, every dungeon (on the mainland) as well as hit some of the big spawn spots and not see a single player??? That was a bit of a shock...la
