100% Energy drakes

Are they still spawning? I read up on them but can't figure out how to activate the room to make them spawn.

They still spawn but u need a very specific character template to find the items u need to activate the spawn. You need detect hidden to find the chests, remove traps and lock picking and even with 100 remove traps its still pretty common to fail and get lethal poison which can hurt. I active the spawn occasionally on chesapeake last time i did it was early april and it worked fine.

Long story short:

1. Acquire 8 power cores either by using the method mentioned by @Specialist or do it the easy way and go buy them from the vendor in the Moonglow Lycaeum. They are kinda expensive but for a one off to get a few energy drakes, it's worth it. You could spend a lifetime trying to get the cores from hidden boxes.

2. Do the lever puzzle in the far back room to remove the rocks in the right passage near the entrance. It's a bit trial and error as I remember and has the potential to one shot you.

3. Navigate the passage where the rocks were without dying. (I place a small stack of coins on the safe spots as I find them)

4. Place a power core in each of the chests around the power conduit thingumies. Once all are placed the event will activate in the open area at the far back room where the lever puzzle is.



You can recycle the drakes by killing them till you get the stats you want. Be aware that the event is time limited, that said it certainly lasts a good few hours before it deactivates so you have plenty of time to find a few good uns.

its actually not that bad somedays u get more then others but its far less painful then paying for them even with the lethal poison
Theres also other goodies in the chests like the occasional cards of semidar 2 of which u can only get here and the rare (krampus), inactive kotl automaton heads (used by tinkers to make automatons). It all sells so making a character to get in an get the stuff isnt so bad.
