100.6 ninjitsu, and slow going

My question is, I've been beating (death striking) this horse for about an hour and have only gotten .3 gains, assuming it only gets slower, ninjitsu seems like its gonna take a week to 110/120... any tips and tricks? or is ninjitsu just that slow going?

Thanks

Ninjitsu is one of the slowest skills to train. You're doing it right - it just takes a while.

My only advice is, make sure you have 40 lmc, 45 hci, and as much mr as possible.

Good luck. You'll get there eventually. o_O

Heh ya I have 35% lmc and like 13 MR with max hci, its just sooo slow, but oh well I guess it will be worth it, thanks a lot!

I know it's a pain, but it will be worth it. Be strong!

I was training Ninjitsu on char with 115 medit and 100 focus (and sure max LMC and MR), then transfered skill on archer.

My current process is working great.

My template is bushido, ninjitsu, weapon skill and 4 other skills which don't matter in this case.

I equip a mana-leech-repond slayer weapon and death strike troglodytes.

Now the riddle of the day is, why is this so much better than hitting a cat or a horse?

Answer:
Even with no meditation, I have a mana leech weapon as well as honor for my opponents, so I can death strike non stop rather than waiting for mana to regenerate.

Yeah, as Syrus of Gahd said you are doing the right thing and yes Ninjitsu is slow to train.
You might find the following thread interesting:

It decribes in great detail my own way from 110.0 to 120.0 ninjitsu.
It took me 31 hours and 51 minutes spread out over 14 sessions.

It can be speed up a little bit but there is the problem of mana regen vs swing rate.

Very often, people training either have the mana regen but not the swing speed(1.25 per sec) or the swing speed but not the mana regen.

Everytime I've done ninja(I did one about 6 weeks ago), I do the following:
- drop every skill off my char except for weapon and ninja
- let focus and med raise... GM+ is better
- fastest weapon with the least stam requirement you can find(get to swing of 1.25 per sec)
- raise real int to 125
- pile on int, mana, mana regen, lmc, hci equipment, ideal is 40lmc, 45 hci and getting mana pool in the low 200 and mana regen around 18ish (hat of magi, rune beetle, pendent of magi, crystaline ring, mybook talisman, etc)
- death strike until out of mana
- stop attacking and make sure pet isn't attacking
- med to full
- start over again

My experience was almost no running out of mana and no med with 110 focus and 110 meditation. Still took a while but easy cheesy.

Adding in necro forms and shadow wisp are also very helpful.

I'm using a 50 SSI dagger on my stealth mage with 120 Med and 120 Focus along with 40 LMC, 17 MR, and a well boosted mana pool. Works like a charm.

kinda did the same thing, except trained it on my necro-mage, using a SSI mage dagger, and had the shadow wisp, and lich form going. could deathstrike ad-infinium. swapped it onto a soulstone once at 120.
