10 Threads of Fate

Okay, someone care to explain how to do this?

I've killed over 200 corrupted with my tamer, another 100+ on a mage, and another 200+ on my macer/dexer, and not 1 thread so far.

Add in the fact that we keep finding corrupted souls that for some reason become invulnerable to all forms of damage (Completely) how do we finish the 2nd part of the quest?

I have enough of the other 2 threads for all 14 characters and a lot left over for some friends who don't have necromancers. But the 2nd stage at present looks to be impossible.

Yeah, I've had trouble getting those sometimes. Occasionaly I would get a few of them, others I would get very little. And that's after plowing through one after another like a one-man army, lol. But I got there after a bit. I get the other types a lot easier.

Evs, seem to every single time, get me one, when they kill more than one not sure why but it worked :O

I spend about an hour on my necro and able to farm up 20 of each thread in 2hrs

You have to use melee on the corrupted souls to get the thread of fate. I am able to get ~1 per minute on my warrior killing about 20-30 per minute.

I find it easier on a mage with protection.

I just run around meteor swarming everything without a care in the world and just spirit speak when hurt. Everything dies in 1-2 hits if you select a few to nuke at a time.

I actually haven't gotten any Via using EV's so I stopped doing it and just direct damage nuke now and have gotten tons.

looks like you need to visit a witch doctor to get the curse lifted - hehe

I use my archer and don't seem to have much trouble getting them.

I have had only limited success with meteor storm for this event. For some reason, it seems to generally only hit one target. I try to cast the spell between multiple monsters and same result almost always. Any ideas or suggestions?

I've been doing nothing but hunt them since the OP (I did take a 1 hour break when the neices showed up for the holiday) and now have a grand total of 2 threads of Fate.
I estimate the kill count in the area of 600 to get them.

While others using the same skills as me talk of getting one every 10-20 kills.

I went through the same thing Eslake.... I found my dexer with the overseer sundered blade and chiv spells was by far the best...they dropped REALLY fast into my pack.. got over 40 in less than 45 minutes. My mage w/ ev's dropped them.. but the threads were no where to be seen.. my other dexer, a ninja fencer, also dropped them fast, but nothing to be seen.

Threads of Fate need to have the drop rate increase. I have been using my fighter on them (cuz nothing else works) and have only gotten 11 of them after killing about 300 spirits.

I've been getting the Fate threads on my necro using only spells. The drop rate is kinda on the low side compared to the other threads but I was able to get 10 of them fairly easily for the quest. I don't know what I could be doing differntly that is making them drop for me.
