1 - If you are dead, does that mean artie drops cannot happen? Say I have a DF on the ropes and then some stray Lich Lord flamestrikes me into the happy hunting grounds, and then the DF falls over dead. Is it possible to get an item drop upon ressing, or tough luck, charlie?

2 - From what I understand, everyone who works a CS gets a chance at an item drop. Do you have to be online? Let's say I worked a spawn for an hour and tired of it and left, and logged off. Soon some folks show up and finish it off. Could I log back in with an artie in my pack?

3 - How come stealables arent spawning in the Moonglow crates any more? (Or the Trinsic crates for that matter)

4 - Once and for all: does being hungry really affect your combat accuracy?

5 - Do the Champ Spawn and Artie Drops work on accrual like the Treasures of Tokuno (ie if you didnt get one this time your chances very slightly go up for next time)?

6 - Is there really much of a difference between a Grandmaster and Legendary crafter repair contract? I mean the answer would appear obvious but I've noticed the results REALLY seem similiar (ie weaken the item 90% of the time)

7 - Is there any way in the game to ress a pet other than to have a player do it?

8 - I have a Paladin with 120 Healing and 120 Anatomy. Do my Enhanced Bandies do anything at all for me? I heard somewhere skills this high negate the bonus...

9 - How come when it begins to rain, it doesn't hurt the fire elementals?

10 - Is there a way to get any of the music box tracks as MP3s?

6) Yes, the difference is in the chance of repair. The better the deed, the better odds your item will be fixed.

9) Some flames cannot be extinguished with water alone.

1. Arti drops definitely happen while you're dead, at least as far as Doom artis and others using a similar drop system. It used to go to your ghost, and would be in your pack upon rezzing. Now I think it goes to your corpse, subject to loot by lich lords. Same for p-scrolls.

2. If it's like Doom, or power scrolls, you need to be alive and on the sub-server. So you can rez and stay logged on on the same sub-server, and get an artifact, then come back to the keyboard and be like "hey!!"

3. No idea.

4. I think they've said no. But stay fed just in case the old code is still around.

5. No. Or, rather, if they do, EA's keeping quiet about it for some reason.

6. Yes there is. Enough to make it worth it to always seek out a Legendary? I don't know.

7. No,

8. No idea.

9. It would be a pain in the ass to code. Fictionally, the fire of the elementals is so intense that it vaporizes the water. It's only the fact that our characters are well-equipped and superhumanly-tough that they don't burn us to a crisp instantly. In fact, the fire radiance damage WILL kill you if you have a noob.

I can confirm that you do not have to be alive to get artifacts or replicas. Again, you only need be logged in and on the same subserver.

All of the music tracks in the game in 2D are already available as MP3s in the Music/Digital/ directory in the game folder (which is where the game plays the music from). KR on the other hand... no idea.

This is why I don't like questions about general gameplay in the FoF. I know Jeremy went through great detail to answer the enhanced bandies question in a previous FoF.

I'm not getting on the OP because he didn't remeber the FoF questions from a year ago. The only reason I remeber is that I was working on healing when the question was posted and it stuck.

You can post general gameplay questions and answers in a big flashing banner on every forum out there. You can splash them across the log in screen. People will still ask them again and again. Lets put them in a playguide (with a search function)!

"Enhanced Bandages - do they help if you're already at your skill cap?"

No - they give a +10 boost, but will NOT bring you up over your skill cap. (So, for Legenday Healers or Grandmasters who haven't used a Power Scroll, they won't actually help any more than normal bandies.)

Leurocian looked over this again, and it turns out while we were partly right, we were also definitely wrong:

"Using enhanced bandages - even if you're at your healing cap - will affect the amount of hit points healed. Enhanced bandages essentially adds 10 to your healing skill for the purposes of calculating the amount of hit points healed."

What they do NOT do is improve your success chance (say, for resurrection, which is 64% at GM.) So if you're capped out, they do provide a benefit, but it's a very specific benefit.

(Note: if you're NOT at the cap, one other thing enhanced bandages can do is bump you up over the minimum skill requirements for curing poison (60) and resurrecting (80.) You'll have a pretty low success chance, and you won't be able to gain skill from those attempts, but you can try 'em.)

No, but they should.

Why they added another crappy RNG system when they should have learned their lesson from Doom.

Every drop system should be like the Tokuno/Doom drop system.

# 3 I know.....they don't spawn because those cities are often "invaded" and the NPC's affected...they cannot call for "guards" if the see you stealing so there is no risk, Therefore, nothing to steal while the invasion is on. When the city is cleared for a while...(days?) the stuff returns to the crates.
That's my take...

OMG, many of wish there was though! There has been thread after thread on this for years, asking for NPC Vets or pet rez scrolls or something, but still zippo.

Oh I'm sorry. I should have been more specific. There is no efficent and effective way to rez your pet without being forced to have at least 38 skill points wrapped up in yet another skill.
