depends on how long the battle below lasts...however there was supposed to be a timer so if it took too long, the Doom Spell would be cast, everyone was kicked out, and a new battle could start.

seems like the doom spell only kicks in after so long of fighting the boss, so if the people down there dont engage boss then i dont think doom is castin
