I decided to hop onto NL this past weekend to check it out for the first time since it launched (I played for a couple weeks back then).

Man...I want to like NL. I do like the simplicity of things (like you don't need any treasure hunting skills to do chests), but after I hadn't played the shard for almost a year (easily 9-10 months) I found myself bored within 30minutes of logging in because there wasn't any boss up and Blackthorn wasn't ready. That left me with literally the same handful of town quests I did back 10 months ago for the same stuff....so maybe things are too simple? I don't know.

I decided to build a tamer on another tamer that I can send to an off-shard where he will probably just be a pet holder. Even the starting up of the character (which is my 5th toon on the shard now) felt a little "ughhh" with needing to run through Occlo to click this and that to decide my path. I feel like there should be an option to bypass that part and go straight to Moonglow (for a mage).

For the shard being something the Dev team was very intentional on telling you what to do/where to click (ie the little sparkle & quests etc), I do find myself kind of not knowing what to do (easily) at times and things don't seem super intuitive.

I will say that for the most part the people on the shard are very helpful so when I get stuck asking usually works, but there have been a few things people haven't been able to answer and with it being such a new shard the answers aren't even online. Lastly, while I do enjoy the community on NL, I also feel like it's the same 10-15 people so when I've played in the morning it feels extra empty.

This game needs instanced zones so we don't have to wait to do content. I sat on for 80 minutes when this new event launched and couldn't do anything because of the long hour reset timer I didn't know about. My time is precious. That was my only hour I could spare that night. And I didn't get to play or do anything! Let us vorpal bunny the bosses and do them when we're ready. Or like that medusa egg flute zone from Stygian Abyss.

Season 2??? BRING ON THE KRAKENS!!!

I hate "daily" quests so letting us choose which boss we want to fight 1 time per week would be great.
Or an arena that scales difficulty. So I can solo if I don't have a group.
Log on, start it, log off. Weekly not daily.
Give me a boss tower I can scale, solo. The higher I go the bigger the prize. 1 challenge per week. Accomplishes the same as this "boss grind circuit" but saves me hundreds of hours.

Also add more world bosses that don't get shout out, just have them wander. Ranging from soloable to need the whole server and everything in between.

What was the point of this post? Where am I? What time is it?

Overall the fractured veil event has been pretty fun... my biggest gripe is all the client crashes (still going even after the patch....just less). The second gripe is how the invasion goes with the Void Commanders; you almost don't want to leave the screen because they die so fast that if you are 10 screens away; by the time you get into the screen and try to do some damage, you might not even get looting rights. These might need to do some sort of HP scaling based on number of ppl in town.

As for the hour long "timer" for the invasions, I do think it could be reduced to 30min or so to allow people to repair/restock/etc but keep things going. I personally don't mind because as someone who hasn't played NL since last year, I'm lacking in pets (books/lures too) or reags/gold so I use that time to get in a world boss or 2 OR try to stock some reags.
