Gold and trading?

It’s been 5-6 years since the last time I played UO. Just came back to check out EJ. I understand EJ accounts don’t have a bank. But the gold system seems to have changed a lot. It took me a minute but I figured out how to deposit gold in my account. But how do player trades work now. If you no longer have checks how do you pay someone if you want to buy and item? Or does everything have to go through vendors now?

You can either drop the thing to trade on the person, or click on them to get the option to start a trade.

this will open the trade window.

There are spots on the bottom of the current version of the trade window to enter the gold part of the trade.

Not sure if you are still playing. But it is my understanding that to this date EJ accounts do have a bank now.
