Ahoy las, and how be Pandora, the fairest wench this side of Britain? Yas been missed, and yer health and well being is being asked about. So, yer 'ol pirate friend has taken pen ta paper to send yas a note, as it were, to inquire as to how ya be las?
Scuddlebutt has it that yas love our Catskills shores, but yer health has kept yas precluded and sailing to other shores. But times as they are, it sure be hard ta find good looking wenches wid spunk such as ye has. This bein' said...will yas update yer friends; sea folk and landlubbers as well to how ya be, and what be yer future course ta sail lassie?
Just an update ta let yas know, the futre is looking very good for the good people of Catskills.
Wars are fewer, a new building campainge has inssued and generally speaking even us pirates has taken to helping out with the whole communiy, (chokes back a tear), tis beautiful ta see.
Now yas be a good las, and listen to yer doctors and wise people close to ya, and get yerself well enough to travel to these shores, and we will all feel the better for it.
This being said, if yas lets on that I said anything nice a tall, I will deny it, har har.

I have met these Knights, and have had some dealing with them over these many years. They be a close butch of landlubbers who spend their days and nights fighting monsters of the land of all types, and a few guilds with monster-like members, who seem to make their living preying on adventures to deep and dark dungeons. They have also been found helping new and returning adventures to our shard, (the lands we calls home). That being said, K^S be a solid group to find as yer mates! Nuf said about them; let's get back to talking about wenches and ale, har har. *Belches loud and long*

I think most of us knew this day would come when I joined KS.... but after talking with Anne, Ally, and Strider about this over the past week I have decided to resign all my characters from KS. I have announced this at tonights guild meeting but wanted to pass this along in here for those who couldnt attend!

ok...I am NOT the GM of K^S,... I am NOT an Emmy,... lol hell I am not even a War Lord...what I am is a passionate player...and I hope most see me as a good Guild member. Regardless of this...or maybe because of this I feel something needs to be said, so I am going to say it!...

I have seen a growing tendency among some members to bail out on their friends and family in their hour of need! More and more when we get raided at champs..or Harry's or even in VVV some players scatter and disappear..fleeing for the safety of tram.

Now if you are sitting in tram bank sitting...or crafting etc and the raid call comes I respect your right to stay put... if you are just not feeling upto it...or are working on a project....np I understand you not coming to fel! But if you are in fel with your brothers and sisters battling monsters and you bail on them in a raid to save your own ass because you dont want to die then I have a problem with that.

You leave no one behind,... if erin stays to loot...someone stays with her. If you have players lost, you go find them. If you have guildmates fighting off the raid...they arent doing this so you can get home safe!

You dont hang your friends out to dry unless you have a real life urgent situation that needs your immediate attention! I dont care if you suck at PVP...I dont care if they cheat...and I dont F-in care that you dont want to lose karma or insurance! You stand there and you do what you can to help! THERE IS ALWAYS SOMETHING MORE YOU CAN DO TO HELP YOUR GUILDMATES!

If whoever is leading decides we need to withdraw...then we withdraw together as a team... we dont scatter and say every man for themselves....that is what loser guilds like NPS does! They abandon their friends...or refuse to support them.

If I have offended anyone by saying this......tough ****! We are an advanced guild, if you want the benefits of being part of K^S then you hold up your end of the bargain!

Once again K^S Rules the EM Event. K^S Won tonight's PvP, PvM & Puzzle Contest. The Reward is in Luna for now per the Dark Lady and will be put in New Rewards Hall later.

Great job last night on the Harrower!!!! We got raided...HARD, ...repeatedly, by the best NPS/TNK has to throw at us and we kicked their ass! Bask in that for a moment.
That Harrower took over an hour...in a dungeon with a nasty spawn in an area hard to defend....but we succeeded!
I have often been very vocal that with this guild ( and our friends in Yolo) we can run this shard...and spawn when we want without fear of them...if we organize... we are smart players!
To that point I would like to make some observations....we were successful last night because WILD took point as the field general and directed his assets with poise and skill. We are lucky to have someone like Wild that has both the diplomatic skill set...and the field general skill set...I was impressed because it is rare to see someone good at both skills.
Typically those that make great guild leaders, and emissaries tend to suck as warlords...so hats off to Wild.

Another reason we were successful was because people got off their asses and got in vent and cart which made Wild able to see things and communicate effectively.
Now Wild isnt always on.....so we need others to step up to fill this role as well. Our emissaries are incredible ambassadors for KS and I respect them....but it is a different skill set to be a field marshal. We need Warlords..I recommend Blitz might have the skill set needed for this job.Cole might as well and I am sure their are others as well. We need to identify them...sit them down with WILD and NAUGHTY to discuss our group strategies....and then we need to shut up and let them lead....and we need to follow and execute their orders to perfection.
If we do this....the successes of last night will happen every night....and eventually NPS will **** off and move on to easier prey.

As knights we are HONORABLE, HONEST, RESPECTFUL and HELPFUL. These are the virtues we follow and believe in.

Some of our members have been in Sosaria for a very long time, while others have returned after a lengthy hiatus. Some may even be new to the game and need our experience and knowledge in addition to patience and kindness.

Our Rules are simple...

1. No disrespect.

2. Watch your language around others and in ALL chat groups!

3. No killing, stealing or mis-treating innocents. We our Honorable, Honest and Helpful.

4. Never abuse your position of authority.

5. Real life priorities come first. If you need to be away for an extended period of time, let someone know if possible. We will be here to welcome you back. Any member not logged in after 3 months will be given an "inactive" guild title. Ask the guild leader or an emissary to have this removed when you return.

6. No AFK macroing. We are HONORABLE, HONEST & RESPECTFUL.

Some guidelines.

If you see someone in need, help them if you can.

If you need help, please ask.
Please upon log in, say something so we know you are present. A simple "Hi" will do and likewise when you log out. Nobody wants to carry on a conversation with someone who is no longer there. Also do not be offended if you are not immediately spoken to. Players may be AFK or in a hunting situation and may not be able to respond.

We do not attack innocents in Felucca unless we are raided and attacked first. Never attack a blue unless they are assisting those who are attacking us. Remember to be Honorable, Honest & Respectful during a raid, including your choice of words in all chat channels.

Coral the Owl can now be claimed from the Vet Reward system.
Minor pigments can no longer be combined with themselves.
A Chest has been placed near the West Britain Bank to convert non-stackable grass and snow tiles into their stackable counterparts. Grass and snow tiles must be in a container before they can be dropped inside the chest. There are four different versions of each tile, only like versions will stack.
The Smithing Press and Sewing Machine will no longer have their charges reset to 300 on server maintenance.
Fixed issue where vases were not spawning in Doom. Vases will continue to spawn for the remainder of the month of November.

For those that are interested about EM Barnaby wanting the Guards to man outpost and towers, here is what his official response was :

Yes, leave a book with the location coordinates (or a description of where to find it, they are kind of hard to miss) along with a few initial patrol reports. Some regiments have done this already. So long as there isn't an obvious conflict (such as, say, Britain manning a post closer to Yew when there are plenty near Britain) I will start setting them up.

I've had a few requests for specific things like innkeepers and making the area auto-logout. This isn't something that can be done, but I will be making these somewhat useful. At the end of the day, remember that anything related to the Town Guards is just designed to add another element for you to engage with through RP if you so desire.

I'll be posting details on all this soon, just need to make it to the weekend

Okay detectives, Jallyn (Mare) was killed last night/this morning at Luna bank. It happened after 4:30pm her time when she left which would be 5:30pm est. Someone in this list killed her. Or someone who was in the guild killed her and left the guild. Or someone summoned or lured something to the bank area which evaded the guards (highly unlikely). Chances are that someone in this list is the culprit. All logins are in order from the most recent to the end of 10-30-14 (the day before halloween. If anyone has any suspicions as to who did this. Please let me know these suspicions. If you are the culprit and this was an accident. Step forward now or forever hold your piece for failing to step forward and WHEN I find out who did this you shall be removed from this guild. Good luck folks in solving this crime. Do any of you have template advice for a sampire character? I am looking for ultra-modern cutting edge with the new weapons/armor. I have heard chivalry is making a big comeback as well. I am not too familiar with dexxers in general, I have played a mage for a Loooooong time, so any advice would be welcome. Thanks!

Yes! We need a tavern located near Vesper, preferably in Vesper Heights or Vesper Landing. Perhaps we could modify the auction house to have a tavern within it. Any ideas? I have the castle NE Vesper but it would make for kind of a large tavern. Better than nothing I suppose however.

VvV is here...so lets cut some of the BS and get down to facts..
VvV is town based pvp with temp stat loss penalties for death. It also has a capture the flag component like the old Faction model did.

Erin, Mare, me, and a couple others gave it a go last night. NPS and TNK joined temp alliance to battle us in various towns ( changes every 10 mins or so). It went fairly well...we managed to gank General a few times

This has potential to be a lot of fun...If this is going to work we need to cut out all the BS crap talk in gen chat and just play the game. We are adults and should know how to control ourselves and behave as adults.
We fight clean we fight hard and we have fun... leave the drama to the griefers...when we stop acknowledging it it will cease to exist.
When my dog barks to get attention...I ignore him. If I respond in any way even to slap him then he gets what he wants...attention. My dog doesnt know the difference between "good" attention and "bad" attention...he just wants attention.
NPS is just like my like.....so ignore it!

I have just found out that we are one of the largest guilds in the game with 557 members. Ahead of us... The Syndicate and HOT on Atlantic.... but not by much folks, not by much.

For those curious I am attempting to stir the pot with our Catskills EM and some of the RP community. I have repeatedly made comments about rebellion and general dissatisfaction with our ruling leaders. I am playing at the idea that since vespers wants and need are being ignored and since the governors of other towns refuse to support us then perhaps when VvV finally arrives on seen vesper could potentially turn traitor to the crown and even aid in the attacks on other communities.

Mostly I am hoping our EM can use a little imagination and incorporate some interesting battles into his predictable events. We could pursue this as rogue citizens that are fed up with their lot in life .....or as a governor lead rebellion against the crown........

Thoughts anyone?

Tonight we discussed the return policy as it pertains to NPS, the potential change of the meeting day and time, and a few other less important issues. A formal vote was called upon for the return policy and we will fulfill this vote via an online poll (once I have figured out how to do one.) As for now the meeting time will be left where it is, but we can discuss this more when we have a larger audience (perhaps here).
