I know I should've written down all the numbers for what to provoke/discord when, but I didn't. Now that Poo's FAQ is gone, I'm kinda lost in bardic limbo... Could someone please give me the "I don't have a tamer" list for what-to-when?

I never used the essay list. Im currently at 98.2 real skill. I do remember spending a lot of time at Ogre Lords and Cyclops/Titans.

But then, Ive never really been one for capping skills.

Probably not the same list, but worked for me.

I have been trying that to gain discord am not gaining

I'm currently building one Bard/Tamer on 3 separate characters thanks to SoulStones. One char has only 100 Music, Disco and Peace. No other skills and he gains really well with Cus. Another char has only 3 Tamer skills and gains like stink. The hardest (for me) is Provo because the char can't have less than 350 total skill points since the char needs to defend against upset critters.

Having your total skill points under 350 really helps.

i kno if u get to 80 u can discord cu sidhes to 120 gonna be slow ive done it once already on my tamer on Lake Superior but befor cu's i believe u use gamans to 80 best thing to do is get gamans as high as u can then get jewelry to get u to 80 or higher

According to the Bard Calculator for Cus...
Locking Music at 100.0 and using an Exceptional Instrument:

Disco Chance to Discord
90 = 6.9%
100 = 26.2%
110 = 46.2%

The 90, 100 and 110 under "Disco" are the effective skill, that is, real skill plus boosts.

Probably shouldn't be using Cus until you have 110 effective Discord.

well then thats wrong because i used cu's from probly 85 to 120 working the skill and i have 120 music/discord now because of it

It isn't wrong.

But the lower level of disco used in discord training is based on TAME pups, which have half the hits points of their wild cousins, and thus a lower level of required barding. You could still do it in the wild at 85, but it will take a lot longer.

actually, I trained disco on pixies at Oaks spawn, Ilsh and wandering healers at healer's grove. Paragon pixies when too high to gain off normal pixies. Don't ask me for the figures though, I didn't keep track.

For some odd reason, I printed out his method months ago (I'm now glad I did). I will type below verbatim what his post said (I hope he doesn't mind):

"get GM music (or 70 and ring up to 100)
buy up discord gm bard NPC to like 30
find a nice quiet place in town, i used fe cause no one ever in fel.
had my tamer go out and tame me animals, had some friends help to, so i would have about 10 of each animal at any given time lined up, stand 10 spaces back from the line of animals and discord my way down the line, by the time i hat the last one the first one was out of discord (if not back up a pace, keep backing up till your discord wears off faster, about 10 -11 tiles) you can do this all the way from 0 discord.

going from top down this is what we used.

120 - 90 hiryu's
90 - 70 nightmares
70 - 60 scorpion, hell hounds
60 - 50 frenzied ostard, giant ice serpent
50 - 30 polar bear

He later updated the critters with the chart below:

87 - 120 cu sidhe (hiryus are better for top end gains)
65 - 87 giant beetles or gamans
33 - 65 polar bears
