In any of these weapons any good ?

I recently got back to playing UO after Years and am having a hard time to figure out what items might be keepers and what not....

For example, is there any of these Weapons which might be worth to keep, also considering their enhancing potential from imbuing, if any ?

If so, please explain the why of it so that I can learn to tell apart items...

Also, is there anything to look for in an item, mainly, that would make it a "keeper" ?

I do know pvp has different requirements than pvm.
But when I want to get an idea of what might be valuable, I go to the traders forum to check out what's selling and for how much and try to figure out why.

Are those no longer spawnable nor craftable and, thus, considered as "rares" ?

All this weapons are from Years back... as I said, I am just returning to UO after several Years of not playing...

Not really.... luckily, there is a Vendor Agent with UOAssist which copies to che Clipboard all of the content within a container so, I just needed to paste it and highlight the weapons in bold and number them....

By the way, is there even a better way using a spreadsheet where one imports the list into a spreadsheet's cells, bolds those wanted and numbers them and then copies it all for pasting wherever needed ?

It could become much faster to copy a list of items in UO and pasting it elsewhere.... but how should this be done ?

I thought about that but the problem with that, is that usually on the Traders' Forums high end stuff gets traded not really more regular stuff which one may find on average....

Furthermore, since I am returning to UO from Years of not playing it, I have lots of older items which I have no idea whether they may or not be still good today or, who knows, perhaps even considered as rares... so, I am reluctant to unravel or discard anything before I am sure of what it is and whether it is a keeper or not....

The items which can now be imbued come with "negative" penalties like, for example, in the case of your Bow, the 45 stones strength requirement.... right ?

Old items, instead, do not have this penalty even if they get imbued ?

Or do even old items get subject, if getting imbued today, to the current penalties associated with "buffs" ?

luckily, there is a Vendor Agent with UOAssist which copies to che Clipboard all of the content within a container so, I just needed to paste it and highlight the weapons in bold and number them....

Question....

The items which can now be imbued come with "negative" penalties like, for example, in the case of your Bow, the 45 stones strength requirement.... right ?

Old items, instead, do not have this penalty even if they get imbued ?

Or do even old items get subject, if getting imbued today, to the current penalties associated with "buffs" ?
to my knowledge all weapons have a strength requirement, imbued or not. the reason the one above is in red is because i was on a new char. with only 25 strength.

Correct.

So either find buyers that use or collect them or trash them for good points. But don´t unravel them as that will give you basically nothing in comparison.

How long did that take to write out? You could of made a .txt list of the entire contents of a container using EC in one click.

My lack of reading skills you mean. I didn't even read it, I just flicked through it as it was so badly formatted. It's good you can now export a list using assist but they should format it so each property is on a separate line.

Gear w/ charges can be thrown away for 5 k trash points. By 'Gear' I mean armor or wearable clothing.

Weapons w/ charges are worthless. Your lucky to get 7 points for them. 2-5 is more common.

They are non-spawning rare items that sometimes can be sold to players but not worth throwing away
unless you just need room.

I have asked a few times over the years that weapons w/ charges be added to the trash points like the
armor/wearable clothing. +15 yrs since I 1st asked & I still have a chest full of weakness, curse, mana drain, &
paralyze weapons. (They originally came w/ fireball & lightning also but anything w/ charges in those got
converted to a % when they were removed from the game.)

Popps, with weapons today you go for "tailor made" pieces, that is: You craft excep (or non-excep, depending on the mods you want) bow of your choice, you powder it to max dura, then imbue it with the mods you need. After that you can enhance the piece if you want (e.g. to get a 40% ssi bow). The only looted weapons that will be used by players are melee splinter weaps for pvp - and maybe a soul seeker :)

classic setup today is a bow with the imbued properties: slayer, mana leech, and other mods depending on what you find usefull (di, ssi, hld, hit spell, hll, hsl, velocity, balanced, ...)

I've seen some really good legendary bows beyond anything that can be crafted.
