[Discussion] Rares Fest Pacific Next Month???

I would like to take a few moments and discuss the possibilities of hosting the next rares fest on Pacific. The RP Alliance has wanted to do a players fest for sometime now and we would very much like to hold it in conjunction with the typical shard hopping tour. This would mean instead of 3-4 days of events, we would hold an event every night during the week, and several on the weekend at different times, as per usual. The rarity bug has bitten me hard, so I am anxious to get the ball rolling on this. There are things to sell... things to buy... etc etc. I have spoken with a few people who have expressed a willingness to help and be on the "committee", trusted names in the rares community and play at least partially on Pacific.. What I would like to see here is a general consensus of the actual time of the festivities. AND anyone willing to donate their time and efforts to help make the event as great as it can be, please ICQ244373602. And please-please bear with me, I am new to this so I am relying on said "people" to guide me through it. Lineman this also means you, wherever you have disappeared to

I really do not have a bunch of time to help out but, I know there are a lot of expenses that go into these for prizes, houses, events etc.

If this gets off the ground I am happy to donate 500 mil towards the event.

Yes there will be 2, possibly 3 houses set up for the silent auctions and 2 for the vendors. Once we confirm the location the standard vendor sig up thread will be started. Nails has agreed to run the silent auctions for us, and a RP Alliance Players Festival will proceed the actual rares fest. Decadence, Masteryoda, Angelica, and many other well known rares collectors and brokers are already involved. But we would all appreciate it if you were on board too Manti

I think the 25th through the 27th would be ideal to give people such as myself (who play the game the way it's meant to be played and don't spend a single cent of real cash on gold) the maximum amount of time possible to save up gold for precious server births to continue making Toad Town shine! < Fighting Spirit! I'm really looking forward to this. Lets have an awesome Rare's Festival! Unless Pacific shard is more cursed than any other shard there shouldn't be any concern with the handling of rares, as it sounds like all different staff will be involved in this, and Nails is running the silent auction houses.

Seems like many shards are having events towards the end of the month. Perhaps first week in November might be better. Always seems like there is a lull in activity at the beginning of every month.
