You know that shard shield tokens only work for the accounts who own the actual shard shields, right?

I would love to help but I generally don't use my shard shield tokens except to occasionally hit up another shard for some different pvp

Yeah, I'm in the same boat. Still have another 4.5 years to go before my oldest account qualifies for shard shields. Not sure UO or I will make it that long, but it's gotten to the point where I almost don't care anymore.

Ok Ive got some old accounts that I never really have picked anything on. So if I hadnt picked anything I could have got all 25, now its 3 more years. But then I have 13 picks on another account old enough for shields.

I first want to say they do have draw backs...............
Unless you have homes around the UO shards like I do going for a set is moot....
I have found thought they are nice and I do use them on many shards but I also noticed some are not being used like some others... Not that I don't need them. But others might find that they might seem handy to have. 10 months go by fast.... and if your not into going to that shard regularly you will end up collecting tokens in secures for that time when you need them.
I go shopping on these shards ... stock up my characters who live there with things I don't have skills in. Or the skills are far from built up to make perfect items...

Think before you pick them... Because you cant change your mind or the shield once you pick it...

Well I'm very close to have a bunch of them... and I also have a desire to have a Tamer/mage on every shard..... so using the shields to go and take them stuff would be good. I also have piles and piles of gifts and rewards on every shard... bringing that home for points and such would also be nice.

I have no idea what shards I want to get shields to. I took and inventory of sorts the other day and found there are about 8 shards I have not "looted" of stuff over the years, not sure if I'll pick those or ones I already have characters built on..... or ones I "plan" to build characters on... but I suppose I'll eventually figure it out. Be nice to be able to go and give my Tamers there a good dragon or something.

and u can use them in any Inn will do...and its pretty easy and safe to transfer stuff char to char...

They are game breaking items.....and i hope someone can take a few tokens to a few shards other than eu gl atl and pacs........if not roll on another 9-10 months for the next two!!!....like i say i soooooooo regret picking those silly statuettes in the early years...what a waste!!!

a guild mate of mine has a beta account that he has never picked a reward on.
i told him to pick up one of every shield cause that would be sooooo cool.
be he didnt (hasnt)

i told him to then get like 30 of those garden sheds.
he didnt.
just no impulse buying on that fella i swear!

and if anyone could ever use the shard shields it would be him.
his account has grandfathered houses on a couple shards so he could actually get some use out of them.

me i just move gold and gear around.
i just like the flexibility to be able to move resources or gear around as i need it.

i had the same desire as you.
couple years ago i went and made a pure mage on every shard in game.
once that was done i went back and made a disco tamer on every shard in game.
once that was done i went through and made a mule with imbuing as well.
i think i have 3 shards left to do with the tamer and mule.
but that is for this winter, haha

In less than a month I am going to hit every shard, once I select my Baja/Napa tokens. So basically my list + those two. If you want to start getting things ready we can meet up before then.

I am just going to order it based on everyone's needs. Kind of first come first serve unless there is a ton of people who really need a particular shard first. So, I am 100% fine with hitting Europa first.

I decided to do the same, took two Ches, then one Atlantic, Europa, Origin, Catskills, Legends, and Oceania. Haha. It's cool that you get the first token right away, was worried you might have to wait a month!

Oh I wondered the same thing when I picked my first two shields when they had just come out. But we lucked out, woot! Also you picked one shard I don't have and don't plan to get, Oceania. Sweet!

None, but the shield only holds 10. So once you get to 10 you'll need to start pulling them off and putting them in secures. I've never left enough on long enough to get to 10, I always seem to be using them at some point.

I have NOT chosen any shields YET. I have played only on Sonoma for 13 years but recently have been on Atlantic with a friend where I placed a house.

Houses on Sonoma are filled up with rare items so most are used only for storage. Many items /accounts/houses belong to friends who gave me their accounts, then quit playing UO long ago, and are no longer returning to the game which they would often do in the past.

I need to empty/sell/demolish houses, in order to close numerous excessive accounts. I am spending too much on this game.

BUT .. and it is a big BUTT ...on further thought and after reading as much as possible and talking to other players and asking questiong.. with thanks to everyone who have shown such patience with me .. um .. is this true:

It may be possible now to transfer many rare items from my storage houses, to other shards by transfering rare items to 7-Storage-mule-characters-riding-full-storage-Beatles - on each of the other shards and have all "mule-storage-tamers* with empty ready-to-use bank-boxes, each character logged off on their beetles in a save INN?

SO - if I chose shields to all the shards from five accounts, account 1 having 23 Veteran-rewards available and other accounts having 3 to 5 vet rewards available, all of which can (keep in a their houses all on Sonoma) choose shields as 14TH YEAR VET REWARDS - I could have storage available on all the other shards equalling 7-5 mule-charactters on Beetles(126 Items) and Bank(125 items) each .. hmmm .. excuse me folks while I contemplate the figures ..

*gets out the spread sheet* (giggles at the thought) - - need tons of time to play the game to do this .. must keep the mule-bank -boxes empty for further storage items - - clean up Britain with junk from houses and collect rewards ...

ooops .. first I need to decide on which to buy and price new computers. Mine can't be fixed. Mother board is possibly shot, hard drive crash fatal ... new hard drive doesn't help, .. *sigh* ... using son's laptop temporarily and he wants it returned. His is ..lag lag lag but at least can use - -

I stand corrected, I didn't know that, I knew you couldn't be mounted nor have a pet with you when you hit the token but I abviously didn't even think about the stables. I'm a dummy, what can I say.
