killing them won't help. This loot is only from stealing. I got a stack of 2 lard of paroxy in one steal.

I believe they re-set. I didn't kill any, but I was able to steal from different ones in the same room later.

Do Silver Sapling seeds only work down in the Stygian Abyss Dungeon ?

If so, aside from a friend or secondary account only the Sacrifice Virtue might come handy.....

I am surprised that there is no res spot in the Exodus Dungeon though....

never has been a res spot in there, or any other Ilsh dungeon as far as I know. There's an ankh in the city when you're actually doing Exodus, but ressurection in Ilsh has always been a case of running, and knowing where to run. I guess a salvation gem would be handy too.

Silver sapling seeds only in the abyss and underworld as far as I know.

Yeah i had the same problem. I now run a second account down there on a steather to res me.

The warrior path = kill the drones, sentinels and juggernauts
the rogue path = steal from zealots or boxes
the crafter path = make the keys.

OK I clicked this link earlier and didn't see much that helped me before I asked what could be stolen from. After clicking the link again I noticed my scroll bar was quite long for such a short amount of information. So I scrolled allllllllllllllllllllllllll the way down to the bottom of that page for the rest of the info! Can this be fixed maybe or am I the only person seeing the page this way?

I am also curious about this. I have 28.9 now (for some reason couldn't buy it higher then 28.5) . Anyways, I get the message that my keen senses feel something hidden in the area or whatever it says. But have not actually found anything yet.

I see a few menu pics, then I can read this: The ritual requires the use of four keys, the robe the dagger, the rite, the altar. Then I see a HUGE amount of blank brown screen until I scroll down quite some distance and then the menu pics start back up.

I have 100 detect hidden and sometimes finding the boxes can still be a pain. You can definately fail to reveal them even if you click in the general vicinity of where it *eventually* gets revealed, on average expect to need to detect 4-5 times. If you noticed the message and are still failing to find the box I found it was helpful to move out of the area and approach from different angles and the new messages will give you a better estimation of the location.

Overall I find the rogue path pretty satisfying, RNG with key parts (and stealing) can always bite ya in the butt, however I still appreciate the "thief" attention.

Only need detect hidden to find the boxes from what I can discern, when you finally reveal them you need lockpicking. I have gm lockpicking as well and the boxes can be quite rude!, sometimes breaking picks fairly often. After being picked there are always 2 traps, one deadly poison, and one very minor dart trap (4 points on 70 phys), then its all free to loot.

Quick addition to Petra's comment: After stealing from Zealots (which you can only do once - you get a message otherwise) they tend to disappear after 20-30 seconds. I tried stealing from them, then killing them for a further chance at loot and was suprised how fast they disappeared. *Granted my thief is not really combat handy, but the Zealots dont have much health so it might be possible to kill them after a steal for a further chance at a key.*

Due to some issues with a bad sector on my primary HDD, I haven't had the chance to get in and test this out yet for myself. Anyone know if the Smugglers Edge is usable here as it is with with most other 'monster' theft? My thief is currently set for factioning ( steal hide stealth detect track mage eval) so will I need to pull remove trap and Lockpick off the soul stones to do the chests?

Some good points were covered in this thread, here is a quick summary for anyone interested:

Zealots

• Can be stolen from once (if successful) to obtain a variety of items: Gold often, Gems sometimes, ML ingrediants are rare, Exodus keys are very rare.
• After being stolen from the Zealots tend to disappear (reset/vanish if you prefer). The time can vary, but is consistant enough to test if you wish.
• The Smugglers Edge doesn't work.

Hidden Supply Cache

• While exploring the dungeon you will sometimes see the message: Your keen sense detect something hidden in the area...
• You need detect hidden to reveal the supply caches. The exact skill value needed has not been pin pointed, but it is very common to fail at 100 skill level.

Helpful tips for those searching for hidden supply caches: If you noticed the message and are still failing to find the box I found it was helpful to move out of the area and approach from different directions and when the new message appears it will give you a better estimation of the cache's location. *Be sure to also have a key to activate Circle of Transparency as sometimes the caches are hidden in very difficult to see areas.*

• After being revealed you need lockpicking to open the supply cache. The exact skill value needed has not been pin pointed, but expect to break a few picks at 100 skill level.
• After being opened the cache will be trapped, there is various methods to deal with the traps, but the traps themselves are always the same: High level poison followed by a weak dart trap.
• Inside the cache you will find: Always 1500-2500+ gold and a random amount of standard gems of all kinds (except amber). The items that vary are: Invisibility potions, Parasitic poison potions, smokebombs, a random amount of one kind of Stygian Abyss essence, an exodus key part.

Aside from that please be careful the Exodus mechanical npcs can reveal sometimes (rare).

In EC i have stealing icon set to target current. I target my Zealot,sneak up to him, steal and then run away and keep pressing hiding.

I would say yes, just unlucky. I was getting the message at under 30 detect hidden. I just couldn't reveal them.

I have currently 70.3 detect, 75.3 lockpick, I'm finding chests, with a ball of knowledge I get a difficulty message when I try to detect one near me and I'm gaining lockpick when I open them. I don't think I'm finding all of them. I suspect they come in different levels.

I seem to fail every time I have tried remove trap on these newly uncovered Decorative Boxes.
Has the Remove Trap skill worked for anyone?
My Dex is not 100, and I'm wondering if that is the cause or if remove trap just will not work on these.

Sorry, didn't try remove trap. I just backed off a bit and shook them
