I mentioned it at the meeting the other night I want to host a Monthly “Come Visit Siege Perilous” night. I would like the first of these to be Saturday the 5th of December. All current Siege Perilous Players are asked to attend to assist any new comers that may attend. Siege Perilous is a vastly different place than the standard production shards, our ways, rules, and means of interaction with other players greatly differ. This is a chance to hopefully dispel some of the misconceptions some players have of Siege Perilous, and hopefully bring in a few fresh faces to Siege Perilous. Visitors are asked to meet at the West Britain Counselor’s Guild Hall, aka. The EM Office.

This event will last from 8pm EST til, 1 AM EST. 5 Hours for Siege Perilous to show it’s the best shard, come out and do your part to try and give Siege Perilous a Boost! For those of you that play Prodo in addition to Siege Perilous spread the word, send it to your shards forums, get the word out!

I will be attending and helping out as I can by providing spot “entertainment”, and meeting with New Comers and Veterans of the Shard a like.

PS From Ian - Quantum has asked that we try to spread the word as much as possible. I'll be posting it as a news item, but I can't post it on other shard forums, someone who isn't staff probably could though ;-)

Sounds good, hopefully we can come together for the good of the shard and put on a good show for any potential newcomers.

Even if you don't want to participate and are just going to pvp, do so around Britain cause if others see the activity, they may be inclined to want to become a part of it.

I think its great. We as a group always complain about the time and day of our events. 8pm-1am est is when I see most activity on this shard. Also I know most of us complain we cannot attend mid-week events. I personaly am excited about this. Also it sounds like the EM might be listening to us as they are setting it for a weekend and not to early. I hope this accualy works to bring folks to the shard.

I might also suggest that ya open up your homes over the weekend too. They may or may not stay with the EM's events. The curious may wander and go checking out this shard and us with their new made chrs.

Either in some separate thread or in same threads post your home is an open house for folks that come here to check us out can ...feel invited into our homes. Set your chests to owner only, if ya have ankhs of sacrafice where their new chrs. may res let em know and let them tour.

Open up a floor or two of your Siege home during this event's time span, with warning they can be pkd in there, but...let em SEE US tour our homes perhaps, when they get time, during the hours the EM will be doing whatever here, and thus let them get to know some of us better.

Last year's game was close. This year Fla is not as good as they were last year and Bama is a bit better with more defensive depth. Bama's close games have all been against teams who consider them to be thier biggest rival (Tenn, LSU, and Auburn); you expect them to play well and put up a fight. Fla barely escaped Arkansas and Miss St. gave them a hell of a hard time as well; two teams Alabama destroyed 35-7, and 31-3. i feel alot better about Bama's qb after last weekend's game winning vs. Auburn.

oh. yea we just hi-jacked this thread!

P.S. Unless Ingram has a great day tommorrow, I'd say Colt McCoy should get The Heisman.

The EM popped another moongate so most followed thru it, to wherever for the next planned event.

I guess folks cluster by the W. Brit bank, then go over to the EM office, and as the events come and go ya can catch em.

I didn't go thru the moongate,this go round. It is late and I am tired of 'noise' for one night. ..*poor faction ponies*.

I was watchin the bama game earlier but I missed the last half of 4th quarter cuz My brother called and rambled on [MORE than I ever can ] in his phone convos.

So I logged in UO after that phone call, and went to Brit, found the EM stuck around a couple of hours ... but yeh it was getting silly like not much is gonna get accomplished yet, work that's needing done for Siege, needs being able to get done, with less silliness or noise going on.

ah, i was a bit disappointed with the event. i felt like it was advertised as a newbie event but when i got there the EM only wanted to have duels. i guess that's alright, just not why i came.

i waited 45minutes but all that happened was that the meeting place kept moving from one place to the next (for a total of.. three? times), and each time whatever event was suppose to occur kept being interrupted by pvpers.

to siege perilious's credit, i not once was attacked, so that was a pleasant surprise. however, i'll probably be weary of returning unless you have an 'actual' new player event.

I thought it was a pretty good event.. the EM was there for the entire 5 hours, which amazed me.

The duels were for newbies if you didn't notice.. and I'd say that was the best part of the event, letting newbies scrap around.

Later on there was a dungeon escape which was fun. There were some problems with a gank attack, but considering our EM isn't allowed to play the shard to find out what it's like this is an understandable side-effect. And it added some excitement.

The only part that miffed me was that everyone was told to go to the West Brit Counselor's hall, when the event was only there for 30 mins or so. I feel bad for the newbies who showed up with nowhere to go.

I'm glad some people stayed at the hall for a while.

I had a great time.. the TnT attack didn't phase me at all, I was quick with my smoke bomb macro. I thought it was funny how the person whining the most about reds interfering with newbies to Siege events was the only voice saying no to young status.

And yeah Kiwillian it is nice to talk shop and not just the "whining and begging and ideas the EM can't do anything about" stuff.

I hung around the councilors hall with kelmo, qz and some others until nightstalker couldn't hold back the urge to kill us any longer *chuckles* was tired after that. Had no idea anything was going on other than what had drove them from the hall to begin with cause I really didn't know what was going to happen at the event. The ones that came thru late didn't either. If they had, there may have been more attendance.
