The harbringer drops awesome loot. He is a peerless equivalent. About 1 in 3 or 4 will drop the new Garb and they also drop many high end items that can be used to possibly get relic frags. I have a lot more to add but don't want the nerf police knocking at my door.
The new robe with 2 Mana Regeneration and 5% Defense Chance Increase on it. Spawns on the corpse. Does not spawn every time.

What's the best sort of char to take this guy on? is he easily solo'd?
It has the following ability...
Provoke -- provoke stuff in area to attack you
Discord -- make you feel like a newb taking 40+ flame strikes
Peace -- area and targeted peace
Cast monkey -- watchout for the double explosion
Acid -- same as grizzle it burns and kills armor
Melee -- hits for around 50+ before discord
Teleport -- same ability as dreadhorn (teleport you to its location)
Has decent HP
I died about 4 times and took me forever to solo on archer.
This is one of the more pain in the butt monster that Dev have ever created

It's so annoying that no loot is going to make me try again to solo one. Dead because of a disco+peace+para+explosion+melee combo (all in less than a second, I'd say) is not fun, in my book.

JUST FYI,
The Robe you get from the Harbringer does not have 140 luck you only get the 140 luck robes from the people you cure......

Yes it can be solo'd providing that you have a couple of hours to spare. It doesn't take long to get the general picture, so I left the one I spawned where it was. Perhaps someone else will find it more entertaining.

That is a bunch of you can take out more Harbs quickly and the rate of return is much higher.

I think this creature is very well balanced compared to the possible reward. You can actually solo him but you pay a high price, regarding insurance and repair costs. The bard- and the acid attacks are tough.
I was impatient and curious so I challenged him twice yesterday. Once with Tamer and once with Bard. Unfortunately, both times no robe. But the loot is plentiful and of good quality, yes.

five of us in my guild did about 10 of these so far, all of us pretty lucked-out suit-wise, and got some very nice loot drops to distribute among us. no robes though disappointingly enough.

My best method for killing it takes about 5 minutes.

incidently, that's how my guildmates and i took them down after doing it the hard way the first 3 times. except we just spawned them in oaks' champ spawn, and let the pixes and kirin go wild while we pounded him from afar.

Nice, I might have to try that, I wonder if you spawn enough of them they can do the whole spawn.
So is that will the creature being provoked on it or did it automatically attack it?

we were gonna try it in the glade later today, i imagine they wouldn't last too long against paragon dryads, centaurs, and satyrs.
I'm trying to tell where this location is from the map, but don't recognize it. Can you point me the right direction? Is this Ilshenar or Malas? I was under the impression that the Halloween events were only in Trammel/Fel dungeons.

It's Ilshenar, South West of the Champ Spawn, nearest to the Valor Moongate.
I've done about 5 of my own Harbingers so far (not all like this) and had 2 robes, done about 8 for friends, they seem to have better luck with the robes than I do. Though I also got the Leto & Jared 140 ones on Atlantic yesterday.
I mainly just want a Shadow Wyrm mask now but it seems so does everyone else hehe.
Ahhhhhh, shades of The Second Age and the perpetual drag of Ophids to the mouth of Terr Keep. LOL.
And I wasn't saying Bards shouldn't be able to do em. I love my bards. Other folks think we should not have so "easy" a time of it though. Obviously they do not understand the allure of the Bard's dance.
Last night GoL did 4 of these in a row (with MANY armor repairs between each). The first 2 resulted in Conjurer's Garb, while the last 2 resulted in diddly. Overall, the loot was mediocre at best with only 1 maybe 2 items even worth looting.
We had 17people and used 4 GD's with some archers while the dexxers got beat down pretty hard on the first go round (we had no idea what to expect, so the dexxers just bum rushed in). 1st go round, we had 8 deaths within 30seconds. 2-4 went quite a bit smoother with only a couple of deaths each round.

I was not going to say anything about this, as my previous input on this board has caused the developers to nerf my suggestions. I am going to say this once and only once and I am not going to give the full details. There are problems with allowing a creature like this to be spawned by the click of a button (via the yellow crystal). Issues with this include the following:
1. Creature could be used as a grief tactic against other players.
2. There are no limits to the number of these creatures that can be spawned at one time in one location.
3. I know how to kill these creatures in 15 seconds or less with full access to all the loot. It doesnt matter if it is just one of them or a group of 5. Let me repeat that - I can kill these things off in 15 seconds or less.
The loot is peerless equivalent - I have received a very valuable set item off of one of these creatures.
Now I know everyone is going to want to know the method, but I do not want to ruin this Halloween quest for all the shards. I think this is one of the best updates the developers have come up with in a while, but there are a few flaws. You can call it bull all you want. Look at my previous posts on creating relic shards and you will understand. What I am saying is the truth, but I'm not going to share it and cause a shard wide catastrophe.
im thinkin ya goto a moongate, get a guard to show up, then leave guard zone target guard to drag him out of town zone, summon harbinger and tada ya get a new trick/possible exploit. dont know if it works of course, but its the only way i can see someone killin harbinger in 15 seconds
I thought there was no corpse if a guard killed something?
if its the instant guard wack ya, but its the same way they kill guards in fel. outside a guard zone i guess he dont insta kill

Nice thought, but that is not even close. I am killing the harbringer in a perfectly legal way. The problem is it is far too easy. And just for the record, I have 4 different methods of killing a harbringer- Only my current method is the fastest of all of them. I know everyone wants to know but I cannot give it up. If I even let out a hint of my methods, the shards will get out of control. Developers, please message me so we can nip this in the bud. I hate having to keep this secret

That's not it, but not a bad idea. Thinking like that is how great discoveries like this happen. My method takes 15 seconds or less. Sometimes it's done in less than 5 seconds.

there seems to be a better chance getting set armor pieces, so far we've collected the better parts of the assassin set, and the plate of honor set. though no conjurer garb yet, and killed 16.

I just killed two more in 25 seconds. Wish I had more yellow crystals. I am surprised to hear that the garbs arent falling for everyone as often as I have gotten them. I have 8 of them from the Harbringer, and another 6 from the blue crystal quest. Too tired to gather any more of them tonight.
