So what race would you attribute to pirates? A pirate expansion would be nice.
I would really like to see Meer and Juka as playable races.

The meer race/ juka/ savages/orcs all have appealing points to them. Howevery, meer sound like the most fun to me.

I am very content with what they did with gargoyles. I got to tip my hat to them for getting one really right! I will be happy with the races we got for several years.

I want ultima to stay away from the whole elves/dwarf thing to be honest (I know the origional ultima lore had them both). I would rather have unique ultima races than some burnout races overused in every MMO. I was a bit dissapointed when ultima added elves.

Clearly the next race should be Dwarfs!

Vampires of course.

And I know we have "Vampiric Embrace" but we also have Polymorph right?

I vote for a warewolfs expansion (Vampires can be included)... Maybe instead of having a Rage attack they turn into a Warewolf which ups their Physical resist and makes them uber fast!

Ah, that would be great.

Orcs are in line with Ultima lore. Many have wanted to be orcs. There are orc masks to help, but not quite the same thing.
I don't think that I would want one, buy I'd sure like to beat on one.

Something bird like. Tall, feathery, with reverse articulated legs and a beak.

Ratmen! Never dwarves. No more non core ultima/UO races.

What if you could play harpies? I hate birds and have never been a fan of bird races in fantasy and sci-fi stories. But since I don't want to work today....What if?

Masks of Orcish Kin are imbueable so if you wish to roleplay and orc that can mingle with his NPC bretheren, you can now do so and enjoy the benefits of good headgear. :)

Me personally, I'd like to see something that I can't roleplay right now. I can roleplay an orc with the mask or with a polymorph. I can roleplay ogres and trolls with polymorph. My vote would be for the Meer or Juka as a playable race.

The thought of a pirate/ocean going expansion, however, also tickles my fancy. In that case, they could introduce Nixies which were a creature you fought in Ultima 4, I believe. The story could be that they can live on both land and water, passing into water regions much like gargoyles can pass into fly only regions.

I pretty much agree with this statement. We do not need another WoW type game. If I wanted to play WoW, I would go play WoW. Therefore, no dwarves, orcs, undead, dark elf, etc. are needed. Thanks.

That might be cool, I was thinking more like the bird looking aliens in MIB 2.

I guess RP savages and orcs are better equipped now with Imbuing. Meer & Juka are the obvious choices for an expansion as that's where they were headed at one stage.

Ratmen would be great.. they wouldn't need an epic expansion either as they might simply scavenge culture from other races. Helms mightn't work, but they'd easily accommodate earrings.. maybe nose rings instead for something a bit different? Lizardmen could virtually follow the same rules.

Maybe as a twist have Ratmen & Lizardmen KOS in normal towns, and they could have their own town centres in Ilshenar, similar to gypsy camps.

Please no! Ratmen walking around towns, mixing with other races? I'd hate that.
I'd rather see an underground city (they've been busy over the years expanding their underground labyrinths and tinkering with powerful pet constructs...that are very tough, but have a nasty habit of exploding ) with all the Shops/npc's they could need.
Any ratman in another races city that wasn't stealthed, polymorphed, or disguised should be KOS to guards...and other players :)

I doubt it would happen though. I get the feeling that we'll only see "good" playable races.
But you never know. Maybe one day i'll get to change my sig...

Hehe, I bring my allured ratmen to town all the time. Seriously though, imagine if what goes on in UO happened in other fantasy settings. What would the men of Laketown do if someone showed up with a tamed Smaug?

I would love to be able to play as an Ophidian. I have always liked the look of them.

I have no idea...mainly because i don't know where Laketown is, or what a smaug is.

Nevermind, those races were availabe in Ultima 3 long before gargoyles, juke, meer, ophidians, terrathans, or solen. ;)
Ultima started with U4.

No offense to the earlier games but they were just staple fantasy games. It was with U4 that the franchise came into its own and laid the platform for what we have now.

It's like elves - the Devs pulled some obscure reference out for them but all in all it was just a generic cash grab (that, by the way, failed).
