Disease was in the game, from not eating or bathing and you would recive diffrent ailments, i always thought that would be neat, and it could spread to the population, causing random death or loss of skills.

A Tamer with a GD says "all kill" and targets a player, and gets the message: "Your pet thinks you should act less cowardly and fight the player by yourself".
A player tries to log in his account and gets a message:"you can't log in because you don't have punkbuster installed on your computer".
If that happens, i swear I am reactivating all the accounts I quit playing since two years. Till then, freeshards ftw!

...the devs would quit trying to lure us into fel and forcing us into a play style that is not appealing to 90% of the player base? Just getting a little bored with being made to feel like a second class citizen only able to earn watered down versions of what the fel players are getting, if that.
Sorry, I don't see that anyone is forcing you to do anything. Nor do I feel like a 'second class citizen' just because there are some things in game more accessible to playstyles other than my own.

Wrote a nice long relpy and it occured to me I was wasting my time. UO will never be what it was. It used to be a "sandbox" now its a litter box. I despise what its become and I think its time I moved on. Sad but true. Nothing against anyone who still enjoys the game, but man, I've really just had enough. Anyone want to buy two keeps worth of pixel crap? in UO gold of course.
Nah....I think there's probably too much risk for some people of having that ability go to their heads and give them unwarranted illusions of grandeur. Safer to just stick to having the developers and/or GMs do critter and NPC impersonations and let the EMs do it under very closely supervised and restricted conditions.
The EM program was disbanded and Mythic actually fixed the game instead of trying to ignore the problems...la

EM sponsored duel pits.....us against a random monster spawn of their choice beefed up in the Umbra arena. Let it loose from its cage while the gladiators get to work and the healers keep em alive. Rewards for all in the form of a 1-2 day titles.

I think it would be cool if EA/Mythic used a team of folks to examine all the skills and the methods used to gain in each of them and then came up with a slate of appropriate adjustments to make the process less of a mind-numbing grind. The adjustments would include adding skill-gain activities that don't bore you to tears after five minutes and modifying the skill gain formula if appropriate. Modifications to the skill gain formula would apply to all characters equally, not just to those that have acquired rare items or are a certain age or belong to a certain group.

A few of crazy things I would like:
1) to be able to equip a frying pan as a macing weapon. It could have infectious strike and poisining as special attacks.
2) to be able to equip a lute as a macing weapon(can you say El kabong!)
3) As a lord you could hire a legion of soldiers to field in battle. The followers field would have to be looked at because I know you can hire 5 followers now. I was thinking of 20 or more.

A game MADE and originally marketed in the USA would pay more attention to the players within the USA than the currently do?
I'll explain...
*disclaimer: below is only an example, I could care less about freebies.*
One example is the ever debated 11th Anniversary Items. So they give the 11th Anny Gifts, FOR FREE, to the Asian Markets. YET, they say that these items will be available for US and other Markets FOR PURCHASE!!!!! Hmmmmmm well that's so wrong on so many levels. Asian Shards have NOT been around for even close to 11 years.
Point 2 on this subject matter: This game is owned by a US based Company. The US has been outsourcing everything, and catering to foreign trade even though our country is in economic turmoil. It has been proven COUNTLESS times that this is one of the reasons our economy has nosedived so badly. We import more and more, and export all our jobs to these other countries so we can in turn buy them or import them at at the same costs as before. BUT here's the kicker on that system: Sure prices may stay the same, but now we have increased unemployment due to the above mentioned job outsourcing, therefore even though prices may stay the same for a product, it actually is the same as paying more$ since we no longer have jobs to cover the said expenses.
Conclusions:
Wouldn't it be cool if... the player base who should have received these items actually received them for free? And then charge the foreign markets for said items (those foreign markets being ones that haven't been around for the full 11 years)? Those foreign markets/player base should get Anniversary Gifts that are appropriate to their times. Let's say "Shard B" has only been available to play for... 5 years (just a hypothetical #), well that shard would only qualify for a 5th Year Anniversary Item and so on and so on. Yep you would also NOT get the gifts if you play on a shard that is not aged 11 years... hey they were not around for 11 years were they?? Fair is fair! So please don't think I'm bashing just foreign markets. Look at it like this... do you celebrate your 50th Wedding Anniversary with your wife/husband at the same time that your parents are celebrating theirs just so you don't feel "Left Out"? No, that's ridiculous! The only one who has the right to celebrate that are the people that are (in this case the shards that are) of the age to match the Anniversary Level!

session now!Actually that is incorrect. The Japanese players were not given the 11th Anniversary items for free. They received those items by purchasing a code and they obtained the anniversary gifts that way.

However... why was it available to shards that have not been around for 11 years and the Shards that HAVE been around for 11 years get no news updates other than they would be soon available for purchase and an outdated estimate of when it would be available to purchase? December was the date listed on the UO site and its now almost February! In a marketing sense, that info should be removed from the UO site as it only shows outdated info and poor Website Management. If I were a potential new customer and saw that UO's websites are not even being updated properly, why would I even consider purchasing the game? If we are ALL going to have to pay $ for the items, so be it... like I said I could care less about freebies, in fact I think freebies cause additional greed but that's another whole topic lol. I just feel that if the plan was everyone would have to pay, then why would the shards that ARE 11years old not get the opportunity to purchase said gifts FIRST?? hmmmmmm

Castle's and Keeps would need to be maintained? Say every week for example, if you did not PAY gold for a "Mason" (can be invisible, NPC, deed, whatever) to come in and fix up certain needs (castles were always in medieval times needing repairs). You would end up with a hole in a floor of your hallways etc. that you can fall through. It will stay like this and in fact ADVANCE each week! After so long, the castle would crumble (visibly) and eventually fall if the needed repairs were not tended to!!
And yes, I own a Castle and would have to maintain mine also or potentially lose it, I am not just trying to gang up on anyone owning said home types. I personally don't like "Autorefresh" on homes.

... they removed GrimmOmen from Art Director and decided to redo the art and client in UO:KR so it could look more like at the very least NeverWind Nights 2 instead of something from 1997 (which was when 2d came out, sadly).
