Well it seems that theres a new thing going around and that is running threw obsticles placed in faction bases such as bag balls candle bras ect as if they were not there, this is unbelieveable that someone has to cheat to win. Now upon seeing this everyone of my guildmates paged a gm and said come to this base and watch the battle and see how thease guys are runing though ten rows of bagballs, not one thing was done so it seems.
its bad enough on has to use uo assist, easy uo and other programs to survive but now i see people runing through the baracades and even through castle walls as if they were not there,
so gms you gonna fix this or is ea going to put out some perrty new dyable box to sidetrack us from the issues,
i am glad factions is booming again i am waiting to see if this new system will be worth staying on uo and giving you 40 bucks a month for our accounts, however before you impliment these new changes adress these problems that are beginning to hurt the legitamite player.
no one should be bale to run though bagballs and candle obras as if they wernt there.
everytime i see this i am going to page a gm thill something gets done. I will probally not even try to defend sigils til its fixed and well ima play for points again
at least my redline rez killing tactic is legal its low but its legal so watch yourselfs ojs cause i am hunting you not only in yew gate, when your farming silver, doing a spawn, heading into your fel houses i may be there tracking you to a healer waiting for you to rez up just to get your points.

good question its not about me being a tram newb stealth archer i do what i am good at and i do it without uo assist, easy uo, any other 3rd party programs i do it within the confines of the game and its rules, i got three of you sl the other day and all you could do was watch me apear and vanish (not one smoke bomb was used) but i got 3 points for it woot and i had 9 oj bars on my screen. maybe one day ill even have 100 in my ninjitsu.
STAY FOCUSED however on the topic at hand cheats cheats and more cheats. If people are going to cheat to win then they should not play the game.
Should people report this to gms then the gms should do something about it and not just send a automatited respose letter telling us to check the website cause no where in there does it adress being able to walk throgh blocking obsitcles and stone walls of a castle.
So what you should worry about is not only me but others are going to stop what we are doing durning a raid or defense and page as many times as it takes. Till this behavior ceases to exsist, we wil be paging and i know paging works i learned it from cardell didnt I cardell ( gives cardell a shout out)

so yes smurfette be afraid cause all your going to be able to do is watch your mates die by my bow and as i vanish before your eq goes off or your paralyze ill be back in tram mining or doing up some bods knowing well that i pissed off ten people by putting one of them in stats

best thing you can do is just continue to page, dont let them change how you play your game, thats them owning you in the truest sense of the word

i do think they will eventually address stuff like this, but it will be awhile

rather than pancake and moan , use this kinda stuff as a rallying point for you and your guild to better yourselves

Now that I can actually get logged in on forums.... First to my friends who are franticly trying to wave me off. Please relax I do this with full knowledge of what I am doing.... you get the sneakylilgrannythiefs two cents ...

I have come to the decision that I have three choices:

1) Join the band of cheaters... (Hears Nonel fall out of chair and Arabella yelling NO TINKZ!).
2) Stop playing and/or just whine about it. Yes, I am a world class whiner so that part would be easy enough.
3) Take the knowledge I have about how it is happening and figure out a way to counter what they are doing.

Yes I do know how it is happening... yes I have reported it to EA down to the key stroke, mouse click needed to do the modifications.... yes as I find more "interesting things" I am reporting them to EA in hopes they can fix it before others find it ... and yes, there are things that can be used/done to counter the cheating. Will they be effective? Time will tell. Will EA be able or willing to stop the cheating? Honestly, time will tell there too but I have to believe that a continued outcry and providing them the knowledge of how it is happening has to get some response. Either leveling the playing field and allowing all players to use these "special skills" or tracking and banning accounts for this action.

Some of you may have noticed that I have not been in game for most of the week. I will be back today as I have finished my testing and in the process of making my ladies "normal" again. They will not run with any of the "interesting things" I have found; they will only run with what EA has given them and I have legally trained them to do.

Thats the most confusing post, are you basically saying "Hi, ive been cheating and using scripts for the last year or so, but now ive realised its wrong and i dont want to get caught so il stop"?

Sorry for the confusion...

I have known about (seen them being used by others, specifically the running through bagballs) the cheats for a while now. I decided I needed to know exactly how they were being done and started to investigate approximately 9/26/08. The exact method for running through bagballs was discovered and reported to EA on 9/28/08.

I spent the last week investigating additional items that could be affected but did not participate in faction play or anything other than testing which I did alone. There is now a clean file in place and the test file is renamed and stored in case EA wants it.

WE ARE NO LONGER TOLERATING THE CHEATS WE HAVE FIGURED THEM OUT AND REPORTED THEM TO EA, WHEN WE SEE ANYONE ON GREATLAKES OR OTHER SHARDS USING THEM IN PLAY WE ARE GOING TO REPORT YOU AND TO HELP THE GMS OUT LET THEM KNOW EXACLTLY HOW IT IS DONE CAUSE IT SEEMS THEY NEED A LITTLE HELP IN THAT AREA.

I dont know the name of it off hand but I know a dear old buddy of Ours does know it.. So I will get it from him and get back to you. And congrats to you on using some Macro Keys now I know how hard it must be to hit hide and stealth!! And I do not disagree with your post in any way about the cheats you guys should be paging. Not that EA will ever do anything about it. I know when we were all in a guild together it seems like that is all we did was page on people, but i have come to realize that there is so much cheating in the game that I just play to the best of my ability, and if I lose to someone who cheats I dont really consider it a big loss. Why? Because they had to cheat to kill me So in all reality I consider the cheaters the losers. But good luck in your pages not that your going to get anywhere!! EA is just like that.

still i consider the use of uo assist a cheat cause it was not part of the intended game,
the reason you dont remember the name of it cause i dont use one never have i am a purest in that way. I dont even run icq often unless i need to trade something call me paranoid but i think icq is the gateway to your account its how people hack ya
and yes i hide and stealth i am a ninja, why play something else i tried and failed tried a dexer you even killed me selena. tried a mage well that one did not work out great either. I got a thief i can play that, but i find hiding stealthing comical. some may condier it a waste of 200 points is it hard to kill someone who hides and runs way it sure is but i am built to kill thieves and other stealthiers, go ahead and ask the shard how many thiefs and stealthier constantly die to me one on one .
Will you ever see me go one on one with a dexxer or a mage. NOPE no going to happen. Ill dismount them for someone else to kill then poof decker is gone.
i run 65 hit chance with 120 archery/tatics and hit 3 out of 5 times! my lower defense and stamina bow hits that person hard then my team pounces on them like a bunch of rabid kittens.
you at one time as was half the faction players on this shard one of those kittens. I am a specialist and there is no better stealth archer dismounter out there. If you find one let me know cause there can only be one. So i like it when people pancake about me, ewww he a trammy newb stealthier that must hack blah blah blah. its fine though back to the real topic
I agree with you on the paging to EA and not alot being done to stop it hell i remember the threat of punk buster getting everyone scared i wish to god they impliment it. and i agree with you about if someone cheats to kill you you should take it a lot lighter. But running threw obsticles not inteneded to be ran thru such as castle walls is getting rediculas. I can deal with the speaders, healing while mortaled, insta mounting after a dismount, moving shot from 4 screens away, continuous moving shot, ect ect i have adapted to deal with those but come on now enough is enough and we as a faction community have to draw the line somewhere.
They are fixing some things in factions to make it better right ? which will hopefully boost faction partisapation right? something we have all spent hours gaurding our bases talking about, ohh i wish we had four way battles ohh i wish there was more people in factions ect ect,
what will it do if someone comes into these factions and get discusted by all the cheating. we are left with the same people,
Truth be told i like most of ya hell i like everyone except for maybe 5 nameless people, but i get sick of fighting the same people over and over and over again.
We need this breath of new life in factions and ill be damned if after ten years of playing in this game 8 of it in factions, ima stand by and let it keep happening.
So all of you instead of hating on my typing, gramer, and the ablity to hide and stealth, help out! this is our game we pay for it we should be able to get the help we need to solve our problems in it. If we page long enough someone will hear!! If you see someone in someone elses guild or your own doing something they should not be ask them nicely to stop if they dont page on them. i use the boards to vent my frustration the bag ball thing really pisses me off though i am almost done being frustrated as you can tell i have not been on most of the week and sl got the sigs grrrrrr i mean meow meow purrrrrrrrrr BOOM!

see everyone loves kittens except those people whom bake them into pies, so we train our war kittens to look cute yet sad yes thats it and then people will pick them up and pet them and cuddle them all teh while the kitten can gain valuable intellegence data and pick thier pockets and make off with cash, maybe a ring or a watch that we could pawn to use to fund our kitten jump boots haha i can see our plans coming together
